25.01.2022 Hot day, how about some trick training? Here are some useful tricks.

24.01.2022 We yawn, dogs yawn, but is being tired, or needing air in your lungs the only reason to yawn? Find out here https://thesciencedog.com/2014/06/06/i-yawn-for-your-love/

24.01.2022 We're excited for the first night of a brand new year tomorrow night! Silver, gold and diamond students, you should have received information about which class you're in. Please see the below class layout for where your class is, and don't forget to do the COVID check-in thing! Bronze students, you will be advised of your class tomorrow night when you arrive for the talk. Look forward to seeing you all then!

22.01.2022 A way that we can help better understand dogs. If you know anyone who fits the criteria, please pass this on

19.01.2022 Here are some great ideas from our own Tenelle (oh, and the RSPCA's) to help keep your dog cool this summer

17.01.2022 Scholars in Collars also shared this one from Puppy Leaks - just remember though, you can't do the sniffy walks just at the moment, unless you make a sniffy track around your garden. https://www.puppyleaks.com/more-mental-stimulation/

16.01.2022 Here is our own Petra who has helped greatly with the wonderful work that Charles Sturt Council have been doing with and for dogs. Keep up the good work Pet and a huge THANK YOU to the team at Charles Sturt for being so forward thinking and proactive.

15.01.2022 This might have been a good one for yesterday. But a heads up for the future.

14.01.2022 This is Angie from Puppingtons (where we get a lot of our equipment at CBS) and her new puppy Benji. Here is the first of things you can do with your dog during the heat. When you first start, make sure the skateboard is stable and doesn't roll out from under your dog's feet. When he is happy with it not moving, then the movement can follow - but slowly and carefully. You don't want to scare your dog.

14.01.2022 Correction: #Tailblazers Scent Detection are offering 'sniffing' challenges over the lockdown period. Go to their Facebook page and join, there will be things to do and prizes to win.

14.01.2022 It should be a walk for them. If you want a 'constitutional' for yourself, do that later. Dogs experience the world through their noses - let them sniff. We have to be people sometimes, dogs need to be dogs too.

12.01.2022 Training is not on tonight for those who are wondering - lockdown is lifted but there are still restrictions in place. We're trying to clarify the position for next Monday and will have an update as soon as possible.

11.01.2022 Just a friendly reminder folks!

11.01.2022 Training on 23 November 2020 is cancelled due to the lockdown. We continue to monitor the situation and hope to run training the following week. Please keep an eye on our Facebook page for the latest information, plus lots of fun things you can do with your dogs to keep them entertained over the next few days. Please do the right thing so that we can go back to normality as soon as possible. CBS does NOT recommend walking dogs to supermarkets and tying them up outside. D...ogs can become very stressed, and/or potentially bite passers-by, plus run the risk of being stolen. Please also don't take your dog to pet shops unless you absolutely need to. Pet shops are not an alternative to walking, and too many dogs in a confined area can also lead to stress. Stay safe, and we will hopefully be back to training soon!

10.01.2022 Maybe you could suggest this to your vet, if they have an area that is suitable. If not, there is always the kerbside. Just let the staff know where you are.

10.01.2022 We don't like them at CBS either.

09.01.2022 Lots of tricks here to teach your dog. You could maybe have a dance routine to present to your family/friends for New Years Eve (COVID willing). Just be careful of hind leg work - too much is not good for your dogs. Please also note that this dog has been taught to wear some booties which help him grip the shiny surface. Safety first! If nothing else, it should make you smile.

08.01.2022 As we know evacuation plans are vital for those living in fire prone areas. One of our Sleuth Houndz friends needed to evacuate last night. Here is a valuable tip.

06.01.2022 Such VERY important information.

04.01.2022 Thank you for this gem Paw Behaviour Dog Training.

03.01.2022 The wonderful Emily Larlham has a new puppy called Epic. This is shat she taught Epic in the first week at home. Some things you might like to try.

03.01.2022 Please remember, stick are NOT toys.

02.01.2022 A hot day reminder.

01.01.2022 Have you ever seen a really happy dog tied up outside a shop? There aren't many. As only one person is allowed to go to the store, even though you can walk your dog if you are walking to the shop, there is nobody to care for your dog whilst you are in the shop. Please don't leave your dog tied up outside of a shop, even for a minute. You cannot see if he is stressed or worried and he could also be stolen. As tempting as it its, please read some of our suggestions below, tire out his brain and he, and you, will survive 6 days. How about some home agility? You can make things for dogs to go over, round and through. Brain stretching for us too.
