19.01.2022 Find what makes you smile in your training. Charlie introduced me to the dog training world and we’ve loved obedience, I can’t wait to explore the agility and scent detection / tracking world next year. Love everything you do with your dog.
19.01.2022 Focusing on that head not dropping, well done buddy!
19.01.2022 Happy December We hope everyone has a magical December as we all deserve a month and life full of happiness. After being terrified of Santa for 24 years, here’s my first socially distanced Christmas photo with my boys ... 2020 was a year of confidence building and growth so here’s to doing things I’m proud of. Make this month one to remember!

17.01.2022 Love how Charlie’s heel is developing. Great timing from the bird to fly over and squark, great practise! He’s aced it in our home, outside our street and in a few familiar places so now it’s time to proof it in different areas.
16.01.2022 Thank you for all of the birthday wishes beautiful people. I had the best day ever, surrounded by dogs and happiness. Just the way I love it.
16.01.2022 I know many people would find this very beneficial, how to break up a dog fight. Thanks for this Pro Dog Training, really great. ~ Chelsea.

15.01.2022 Three Amigos Lucky to have had some great walks during this time with friends. Looking forward to exploring more of Victoria when we can. ... Such happy dogs.
14.01.2022 I often get told My dog doesn’t listen to me or My dog pulls on the lead to sniff everything, are you giving your dog a reason to want to hang out with you or is the sniffing access only rewarding your dog? If you increase your cool factor, then your dog will want to spend time with you too, give them a reason to. Use your dogs normal food allowance, let them have access to it from you not the food bowl, use this food to lour, chase and feed.... This is how we get our dog wanting to hang out with us on a walk and engage with us rather than everything else on a walk when we don’t do side it. Here in the video Charlie has strong winds meaning lots of smells about and neighbours out with their dog, you can see Charlie only has eyes for me, we need to create that relationship. Something to think about.
14.01.2022 Since our proposed camping trip was supposed to be happening away in nature during this time, I decided to still have a practise with the boys. (Postponed because we are in lockdown for those friends out of Vic that may be unaware). Neither Bomber or Charlie have been in a tent or on a camping trip before, and myself not since I was really young, so we are having a practise today and they’re loving it. ... We’ve been on heaps of super long day trips in the car and they absolutely love it and I know they’ll love this too. Great way for me to spend time setting up my new tent as well, I absolutely love it, it is so perfect for myself and my dogs, pure joy. Found the instructions after I finished setting it up too haha, but no issues fairly straight forward. Bring on the next camping trip out in the bush, so excited for this to happen, Bomber’s going to be a little rockstar as he can sleep anywhere, Charlie loves to rub himself on the outside like a cat before he lies down but then he’s superb haha. Nothing like a front / back yard camping trip to start our camping adventures off. Victorian friends, where are some of your favourite dog friendly camping spots?
13.01.2022 Unfortunately I will not be able to work Monday to Wednesday next week due to the lockdown restrictions. I am considering putting dogs on Friday and Saturday of that week depending if we come out of lockdown. Please note, I will not be able to make up every walk that is missed but my aim is to get as many in as possible. I will be in contact mid next week if I can continue with this plan. Those of you with payments set up, please feel free to stop these for now.... Hopefully see you guys Thursday, fingers crossed for a quick lockdown.

12.01.2022 Bomber being the perfect little supervisor today. I love animals, did you know that I have quite the menagerie at home, I’ve had dogs, cats, chickens, quails, birds, ducks, a rabbit, guinea pigs, fish, hermit craps, mice and rats! Redoing parts of the backyard during this spare time, so Bomber and the chickens are having great fun playing in the mud this week. ... I love watching chickens learn, ever since having my first chicken, we’ve always kept chickens, they are such amazing animals that have taught me so much about behaviour and training. Here the chickens are having a fun snuffle grass time full of deliciousness in this section, after this they had the best forage throughout the entire yard, fun little ladies. Bom loves his little friends, he has grown up walking around with them for years, so special. So lucky to be able to grow up an animal lover and now work in the animal industry, I absolutely adore it!
11.01.2022 Having fun is super important in building a great relationship with dog and owner. Obedience is such an important part of training for all dogs, I know I walk and train many dogs with reactivity / aggression issues. When a dog can hold a solid drop stay for example or heel with beautiful eye contact, loose lead walking, all not phased by the other dogs, these real life scenarios results that we’ve accomplished through obedience is incredible. Don’t forget the fun factors ...though, obedience comes with all of the FUN!!! Engagement is key. The more fun you have, the more your dog will want to be with you, in this video you can see throughout the entire 5 minutes (5 sessions in total here) I didn’t lose Bomber’s engagement at all. Within different stages of this video we have louring play, chasing food, obedience, quick releases, not anticipating release exercises in drops, activation cues, tricks and more. As you can see our training is always like a party, I didn’t making it boring I combined the above exercises and mixed them together to keep that engagement nice and high. One thing I often here is Is my dog too old to learn new tricks? Bomber here is 9.5 years old and only started learning more things when I got Charlie, he only once new sit and handshake once upon a time before I was introduced to the dog training work, we grew up together and found a love for it with Charlie, it’s never too late, look at this superstar go! Every dog is capable of having fun, obviously working to the dogs ability, each dog has different needs, for example older dogs with hip issues obviously wouldn’t be doing exercises to put pressure on them, but fun can always still happen with adapting training to your dog. Would love to see some fun training videos either in the comments section or via PM, go for it guys, have FUN!!! Chelsea.

07.01.2022 Spreading some dog love today! I’ve been so lucky to have some lovely friends living in my radius or being a nominated visitor, to be able to have some local adventures together, it’s been wonderful. Here’s one more dog photo to end the day today, loved sharing some dogness, can’t wait to see all of our other dog friends soon too. ... Love this photo of Bomber and Charlie I took earlier in the week, so thought it was a beautiful one to share. #jackrussell #labrador

06.01.2022 Thursday (tomorrow) walks will all be going ahead as normal. Obviously due to the heat, same case as last week, afternoons may be swapped to check-ins. Those who missed out on a walk this week I’ll be in contact within the next couple of hours to see if you’d like a make up walk on Friday or Saturday, will be morning walks, again due to heat. Xx
06.01.2022 Drop means drop, middle means middle In my early days of training Charlie, I created patterns for him which he predicted releases on, improved so much with this now, I love his reliable drop. Middle is a great command to teach too, really great safety position in between your legs for many scenarios that may arise, for example a dog or child running up to your dog, you can control the situation.

02.01.2022 Hey everyone, I’ve been receiving quite a lot of messages in regards to spots being open when I’m back allowed to work again. Regular clients you will all have your usual days locked in still (unless you need anything changed, please let me know) some slight time changes may occur but I will let those know if needed.... Potential future clients, going off before I had to stop working I was fully booked but I am going to try and open as many spots as I can, home consultations will be available. Chelsea
