25.01.2022 Good morning! SWIMMING CARNIVAL is on today The forecast is for a partly cloudy day today and so students may wish to bring along something to keep warm when they're out of the water - an extra towel perhaps, or a windcheater. Enjoy your day Cheers, Marsha UPDATE: Please see the comments for a photo of the carnival timetable.

14.01.2022 Dear parents, the Tuckshop and Uniform Shop will not be open this week with the reduced number of students at school, and no orders to the tuckshop received yesterday. On behalf of the Caningeraba P&C, I'd like to thank Dione, Katrina and the wonderful team of Tuckshop volunteers for their efforts this term. Cheers, Marsha

14.01.2022 The Snack Shack is a P&C run service at Caningeraba and all proceeds raised through this service benefit our students. To keep running costs at a minimum, it is vital we have volunteers helping. You don't need to have experience. Katrina will show you the ropes! It's a great way to be involved in the school, meet new people and learn new skills.... We need more volunteers on a regular basis on Tuesday and Thursday but are also always needing more hands on deck to feed our hungry students any day of the week that you can help out We would ideally like to have at least two volunteers each day Monday to Thursday, and four on Friday's - our busiest day. If enough people don't put up their hand to help in the Tuckshop, there is a real likelihood that we will have to reduce the number of days the Tuckshop is open. If you can lend a hand, please get in touch with Katrina on 5568 6339 between 8.20 - 2pm, or message me here. Many thanks, Marsha #wearecaningeraba

Bring some chairs, bean bags, a picnic blanket, even a picnic!! 02.01.2022 It's hard to believe but it's the time of year to start thinking about Back to School for 2021! In order to provide a Covid-safe environment for uniform fittings and purchases from this week appointments will need to be made if students need to try on uniforms. Note: ONLY ONE adult per family is permitted to attend the appointment with the student(s). ... If you don't need to try on for sizes, orders can be placed via Flexischools - flexischools.com.au - with all orders to be delivered to classrooms. If you arrive without an appointment, you will be asked to wait outside the school gates until there is a time slot available, however, there is no guarantee one will be free the same day and you may be asked to return at another time. Please follow the link provided here to use our bookings sign up sheet so that Dione can assist you in a prompt and convenient manner. Cheers, Marsha and Dione

01.01.2022 National Taekwondo students ... a message from Gavin... To all Students and Parents, Unfortunately to the new laws applied last night by the Prime Minister regarding the ceasing of all indoors sporting venues to cease tuition and activities from 12 pm today it is my duty to inform you that National Taekwondo Gold Coast cannot continue our classes at any of our centres until further notice due to the Coronavirus and the safety and wellbeing of all.... I thank you in advance for your understanding in this matter and hope nothing but the best for you all in these tough times ahead. Keep on punching and stay strong. Yours in Health, Master Instructor Gavin and all the Instructors on the Gold Coast

01.01.2022 Thank you everyone who came along to our Movie Under The Stars screening of Aladdin tonight! A bit of wind and a few light showers didn’t deter our biggest crowd yet. It was lovely to see so many local families enjoying the evening. We appreciate your support and hope you had a good night The P&C Association would like to also extend a huge thanks to Peter and Matt from Event Cinemas for donating the delicious popcorn (you guys rock!). Thanks also to our School Council ...Member and Division 12 Councillor Pauline Young for providing us with the opportunity to host one of these City events again this year On a personal note, I’d like to also thank Wendy and Gary. Your dedication and efforts over many years has helped make so many events like this possible. Thank you also to our School Principal Ray McConnell for giving up a good part of your weekend so we could host this community event. I picked up a jumper on the oval, and I was also handed a lost City Library Card & Go Card. If you’re missing either of these please PM the page with a description and I’ll let you know if they’re yours and where you can pick the items up. Enjoy the rest of your weekend everyone! Cheers, Marsha
