Canning River Cafe and its sister company Fresh Convenience Catering are family run businesses and over the past few weeks we have been working collaboratively with a major health service in support of how they can celebrate and appreciate their staff. This project is also recognizing the year we have all experienced around COVID-19 and is an opportunity to come together and work together while giving back to front line staff in the health sector. This project, is a not for profit one, even though we run profitable businesses. We cannot give too much away as we do not want to spoil the surprise coming to many people in mid December. However, we have been very touched as businesses around Perth have rallied in support of this project and as such a beautiful bespoke gift box will be made available to almost 9000 health workers employed by the organisation we have been working with. Step 1 was bringing together what would go into these gift boxes which in itself is a very large task and one currently in hand. Step 2 is to bring together people to pack the gift boxes and this is where we need lots of help. So, if you would like to support or you know people who would please send this information on so that we can begin to build teams to work on completing this very large project. To give you an idea of the scale of this we need 30 people working an 8 hour day and packing 1 box every 5 minutes to meet the required 9000 gift boxes that we have committed to as we only have a window of 3 days to pack all of the boxes. If you would like to join us in completing this project then join us :) We need commitments of time - 4 or 8 hour blocks Shifts on offer are - Saturday 12 Dec - 8-12 or 1-5 or 8-5 Sunday 13 Dec - 8-12 or 1-5 or 8-5 Monday 14 Dec - 8-12 or 1-3 or 8-3 Venue - Cannington Showgrounds To register yourself as a volunteer Please email Sally Green - [email protected] Business owner of CRC and FCC
