They specialise in the use of the silhouette brand drag blade cutting machines to cut adh...esive vinyl, heat transfer vinyl and paper. This allows them to design and create personalised items not available in stores. MARISA VALENTINO: Continually filling our Sewing courses, the lovely Marisa has left a trail of hundreds of smiles behind in the last few years. She is a long-time passionate sewer, Spotlight expert, Canning Show supporter, Exhibition and award winner, teacher and more. Marisa is committed to improving attendees skills, no matter their level and sewing background. ANN FOSTER: A high school art teacher for the past 20 years, Ann is skilled in many different disciplines, primarily in painting and drawing, but also ceramics, printmaking, sculpture, lead-lighting and textiles in various forms. With a 10+ year involvement with the Canning Show Exhibition, many know her as artist Ann Crittenden. ROBYN RICKET: A self-taught crocheter with a lifetime of experience, Robyn sees crochet as therapy and time out, enjoys coordinating knitting and crochet events, and also uses her crochet skills to raise funds for charities. ANNA RATTIGAN-SMITH: Main/favourite crafts are crocheting, cross-stitch, 5d diamond painting, book origami and recycled craft, all of which she has entered in the Canning Show over the past 5 years to earn multiple prizes. She ran a market stall at Hall Markets in Canberra, selling book origami 2014-16. Thanks for all concerns directed our way, too. However, we are happy to confirm Canning Show 2020 is still able to go ahead, bringing much-needed joy to all, Fri 6 & Sat 7 Nov 2020. We have safety measures and event contingencies in place to assist with creating an amazing experience, no matter if still locked in Phase 4 of restrictions. These plans are continuing to respond responsibly to new challenges and changing circumstances, including working with relevant health and government authorities. Our not-for-profit organization is mapping the way forward with everyones safety at the forefront of all decisions.
