24.01.2022 We are very pleased to have started to make our beeswax wrappers . Turns out they take a little bit longer than we thought! Today V4, V3 and B3 made their wrappers and should have brought them home complete with how to care for them instructions. These are to hoped replace the single use plastic in lunchboxes. 23.01.2022 Today we held our school NAIDOC assembly. The students shared what they have learnt in the last few weeks about Aboriginal culture, bush food, bush medicine, animal totems, Noongar seasons etc, then we all joined in song for Wanjoo (meaning ‘welcome’ in the Noongar language). Thankyou to our school patron, Dr Collins for joining us and presenting a special citizenship award, and to Margaret and Dorinda for their time and efforts in teaching all of our students about the Aboriginal culture.

23.01.2022 Would you like to make your own beeswax wrapper? We have some fabric that is too small for a sandwich but would be perfect for a muffin or similar. Mrs Aitken will be running a parent/community workshop to make a beeswax wrapper next Monday 7th Dec between 1 and 3 pm. 20 spots available please email the school to book your place, first in first served. If there is interest she may run another during an evening timeslot. Cup of tea/coffee and a pumpkin scone provided. Oh and be warned you may be asked to come and help the rest of students make theirs...

Joshua used that money to buy food for our Christmas Food Hamper Appeal. Thank you so much Joshua for your generosity and support of our fundraising event. It was great to see you and your mum.

17.01.2022 The Year Three classes are creating textured clay tiles during art classes and theyre making a big mess! Clay- its therapeutic, tactile and time consuming. They sing a tune to hep them remember the technique, Getting in the groove with score, slip, scrape and smooth.

Keep an eye out for our recipe book next term if you would like to make some for future lunchboxes reasonably cheap and most of them freeze for convenience...

Years 1-6 will be able to buy some delicious morning tea Greek yoghurt with blueberries, 50centsl. Cinnamon donuts (flour, egg, sugar,milk, butter, cinnamon) 40 cents each. Pizza scrolls ( short crust pastry, ham, cheese, tomato & bbq sauce) 20cents each
