24.01.2022 GRASS SEED SEASON...... Just finished removing these ones from the ear canal of a 2 year old dog who was in hell lot of discomfort from yesterday after having a walk on grassy path. Surprisingly, these grass seeds passed all the way from external ear and external ear canal and decided to rest on the top of eardrum. I am sure if not removed on time they could have done lot of damage to eardrum with a possibility of drum perforation and more. These procedures usually needs heavy sedation or general anaesthesia. Sedation did the deal today.

23.01.2022 LUCKY PUSSY CAT Poor Adonis played games with kids and tried to steal these Coles Stikeez by swallowing. Later on started vomiting and went off food. Abdominal ultrasound revealed that couple stikeez are still rumbling in his stomach. Luckily they did not pass to small intestines. With the owners permission vomiting was induced by injecting a special drug. Adonis vomited all of them in first vomit that resembled our count on abdominal scan. Certainly Adonis looks drugged up ...due to sedation caused by the drug. He went to home yesterday and slept well. Back to normal from this morning. Ate his food and started drinking and playing. I believe house is Stikeez free now. We only want to say what a lovely, friendly Maine Coon cat. He behaved like cute little dog. Love you young man......hope you play safe in future. 23.01.2022 Our trainee vet nurse Sophie is going to be a fully qualified vet nurse soon. This little girl came to us an year 10 months ago for training. In first surgery monitoring she virtually fainted and was on floor. Ram treated her like a family child. Well Sophie has traveled a long way and came out as a fabulous and strong nurse. By the we also call her Walkie Talkie We love her so much that she has been offered a position with us. Well done Sophie.

20.01.2022 Thangka is one of the stunning Tibetan Mastiff boy. He has been looked after by us from last 8 months or so. We have helped him a lot with immune mediated gastrointestinal problems. Once upon a time, first visit, he was quite emaciated. He has gained weight and living a happier life. Thangka is very lucky to have very caring parents who have turned every stone to look after this boy. Thangka is in his winter coat and no doubts he looks stunning.

12.01.2022 CHILLED AFTER SHORT ANAESTHESIA... His highness Oskar visited us yesterday. 17 years old but no one can touch him. Only Mumma can touch and pet him. The sharpness of Mr Oskar is way better than vets and nurses with extreme flexibilities which means you cant collect a drop of blood in conscious form. One of the most loved cats we have ever seen. Sir, hope your diarrhoea goes away and you stay healthy. We love you but not ready to do another exam and blood collection in future.

(Please do not ask for further details of puppy or owners) ....Please do not post misleading or controversial comments Sadly, 9 weeks old puppy was diagnosed at our vet hospital with Parvo virus infection this evening. Puppy came from Gosnells area.... IMPORTANT FACTS 1. Puppy was vaccinated 4 days ago by the the puppy owner. - Vaccination takes around 11 to 14 days to provide immunity against Parvo Infection. - Puppies from fully vaccinated bitch may have the ability to fight against the parvo virus infection in early age. 2. This puppy was sold by the breeding person without giving any vaccination. - DO NOT BUY NON VACCINATED PUPPIES. Report these people to RSPCA. - Also check the vaccination records of breeding bitch. It was extremely upsetting experience to see this cute puppy in awful situation. Treatment of Parvo virus can be very expansive to client and to keep a Parvo virus case in hospital for treatment can be very challenging to Vet Hospital. Canning Vale Vet Hospital has a full proof isolation room to deal with such cases. Fatality rate is nearly 100% in puppies less than 10 weeks of age if not treated on time. VERY VERY SAD............to mention that due to financial constraints this puppy may not receive adequate treatment unless someone jumps from the sky. See more

09.01.2022 Lot of inspiration from this 20 years old MEKO who has been in our care from a longtime. Once upon a time he dealt with severe liver failure and surprised us to get rid from it completely. He has also been fighting the congestive heart failure from a longtime. His daily medication list is quite big to mention other than his special diet.

As soon as I arrived home around 7.30 pm, my most beloved >80 years old client Jean made a very stressful call about her 12 years old dog by stating that Penny is not moving, please help. Jean also said Ram you know I love you. Well I couldnt resist and asked my daughter to accompany me to provide necessary assistance if needed. 04.01.2022 COMPLETE RECOVERY FROM IMHA....... It was an emotional movement to see this 14 years old boy Trevor running happy like a puppy. He picked up his favourite toy from our hospital items. I was so happy to see him running like a normal dog. Although Trevor is dealing with osteoarhritis. Trevor was presented to us on 03.05.2020 with pale gums and severely lethargic with a seizure like history. In house blood test revealed severe anaemia. By next day Trevor was diagnosed with Immune Mediated Hemolytic Anaemia (IMHA). Trevor was on has been on treatment since then. He did remarkably well as an old dog and got uneventful recovery. IMHA is a sudden onset of destructive reactions towards red blood cells by the individuals immune system whic results in severe anaemia and can cause collapse in untreated animals.
