25.01.2022 Another enjoyable day operating our trains . The expansion plans have also been finalized too The plan details the proposed N Scale Layout , the existing 7m x 2m layout and the proposed System Layout which will be HO/OO and fitted for DCC operation and designed for continuous running

09.01.2022 After further consultations with the Cannon Hill Bowls Club have resulted in a revised Layout table plan. This will be a HO layout and built for DCC from the start. From our point of view this is a less ambitious layout to construct and considerably cheaper to build.... Work on this project will commence once the ground floor alterations have been completed by the Cannon Hill Bowls Club Thanks to Gerry for the concept plan

09.01.2022 The YMCA is now the new Landlord or the Cannon Hill Community Centre. The Cannon Hill Community Model Railway Club is back in business and will be reopening within the next Two Weeks More announcements very soon

08.01.2022 A N Scale Layout. It is a interesting concept , and lends itself to being double tracked . About 15 x 14 feet. The best part is it is walk around and all parts are accessible

07.01.2022 New N Scale layout for CHMRC . Thanks to Warren and Kevin, the CHMRC now has a N scale Layout to cater for those members who run the smaller scale. We will undertake a refit and rebuild and eliminate the plaster terrain and replace it with cork .... This will lighten the layouts weight considerably It is envisaged the layout will then be extended. Again Thanks to all involved for this great and worthwhile purchase.

07.01.2022 Another day of progress , more weathering of the N KATO track as well as some realignment of track work that was not being used for the main operation. Concept plans for the HO layout were also finalized. The next part of the N Scale Layout will include the rest of the baseboard being painted and the installation of the cork rock being fitted into place on the risers.... 06.01.2022 A big day at the Club Saturday . Both Gerry and young Kevin got stuck into the N Scale Layout striping back the surface of buildings and heavy plaster work. The Aim is to rebuild the layout using proper period buildings and houses.... Cork Bark will be used to simulate rock work . The will enable the layout to have that 1950s look about it . 05.01.2022 Proposed expansion plans , the construction of a large system layout in HO/OO fully DCC equipped , the existing Club Layout in the center and a N Scale Layout placed on the Western Wall of the Club House

05.01.2022 Another productive day at the Club , stripping back the surface of the N Scale layout . Matt 29 Dark Brown is being used for the baseboard colour and to also weather the KATO N track. The next part of the refurbishment will be to install Cork Rock on the sides of the risers to achieve a more realistic appearance. ... Then fit proper scale Trees and Hedges We will use correct period N Scale Buildings set to a 1950s - 1960s theme. In other decisions was to also make a new long run N Scale layout utilizing the existing KATO Track we have . This will be a long run layout built in modules . Thanks to Gerry and Kevin for their excellent work

05.01.2022 Final Layout development plan utilizing all the Clubs floor space. The development plan incorporates a British OO Layout, an American HO Layout and a N Scale Layout. Marking out is to commence this Saturday
