25.01.2022 We are currently experiencing intermittent phone outages. Please be patient when trying to get through to us

23.01.2022 We would like to take this opportunity to acknowledge how amazing our wonderful nursing staff are. Without every one of them performing their roles within our team we could not deliver the service we do for your family pets. Today is "Vet Nurse Day" but they honestly need to be celebrated and honoured every day of the year. This year our super Head nurse Heidi, has been nominated for the 2020 VNCA Vet Nurse of the year award and we are super proud. ... Help us in saying thank you to our nurses Heidi, Rachelle, Shauny, Terri, Hannah, Katie, Chantelle, Alicia and Erica. #vetnurseday2020 #vnca

23.01.2022 Today we say a sad goodbye to Nurse Rachelle. Rachelle has been with us for over 5yrs from her initial training to when she became qualified. Rachelle is moving on to follow her passion which will involve a focus on dog training and behaviour. We are gonna miss her smile, sense of humour and unforgettable dance moves that you may have been witness to over the years We wish you every success and all the luck in the world in this next chapter of your career.

21.01.2022 Can you help out with a donation?

20.01.2022 Pet owners of the Illawarra listen up. Veterinary services are triple booked right now, and being so close to Christmas its only going to get busier. We are working as fast and hard as ever to see your pets safely. We know you love your babies BUT unless they are actively dying when you arrive, you will wait. Triage is not a game and we take it very serious. Please be patient while we help other pets that cannot wait. If your pet has some niggling issue like an itchy ear or o...ngoing skin condition we ask that you make an appointment early and be patient. You will likely not get seen today, or maybe even this week unless your pet is critically ill. This means your pet is about to die. Do not wait to book as you will be disappointed. Don't just show up unless it's an emergency. We are all busy at this time of year so be forward thinking and schedule appointments, medication collections and food pick up in advance, then please be patient, and please be kind to our staff. Christmas time is always incredibly busy and an often sad time for vets in a normal year. We generally see the rate of euthanasia increase up to 30% during the holiday time. This year has already been incredibly tough with the ongoing effects of the Covid-19 pandemic, and we are bracing for what's still to come. Please. We please ask you to help us by being attentive to any problems early, and be realistic about what is truly an emergency. Thank you

17.01.2022 Happy Australia Day We may be closed today but we have a vet on call for all your emergency cases and after hours service

16.01.2022 As 2020 comes to a close we urge you to ensure your pets are safe tonight. Even though there are no scheduled fireworks tonight there is a high possibility of illegal fireworks being let off. Sending everyone best wishes for the year ahead and may 2021 be better than 2020

15.01.2022 On reflection 2020 has not been what anyone expected, but on a positive note many of our pets got to have their humans home with them more than ever and we just know that for them, 2020 wasn't too bad ........actually perhaps the cats of the world weren't overly impressed to have their days intruded upon

13.01.2022 We are still having intermittent issues with our phone lines. If you cannot get through on the normal number please try 0420 519 453. Please be patient as we are working to get this issue finally resolved

04.01.2022 Do you have any spare newspapers lying around at home or the office? Due to being so busy over the Christmas and New Year period we are running very low on our clinic stock and would love to take any newspaper off your hands. Feel free to drop it off during business hours. Just call us before coming into the clinic. Thanks

02.01.2022 We are so proud of Valkyrie and her progress. Watch how the combined efforts of Cannon & Ball Veterinary Cinic, Veterinary Specialists of Sydney, Illawarra Veterinary Rehabilitation and Water Walkies Hydrotherapy got her back on her feet enjoying life within 5 weeks of major surgery.
