12.01.2022 Homemade COUGH syrup! Tastes SO good & perfect for this time of year. Happy, Healthy, Autumn, Equinox, Southern Hemisphere Kin. Honey, onion & garlic are al...l naturally antimicrobial. Honey also acts as a demulcent, meaning it relaxes the cough reflex & soothes the throat. Peel an onion, 1 clove of garlic. Dice & Slice. Place into a bowl. Pour local/raw honey over the cut onion & garlic, completely cover. (Vegans use maple syrup). Let the mixture sit for a period of 8-10 hours on the kitchen bench. Pour the liquid gathered at the bottom into a separate glass with lid & store in the fridge. Will last 3-6months. All done! Your homemade cough syrup is ready. Take a spoonful 3 times a day. HOT TIPS; use the onion & garlic for a stir fry for dinner. If you have other symptoms i.e. flu or cold then slice some ginger, squeeze a quarter of lemon into a mug, pour boiling water over it, wait till it’s just warm, add TLBS of the cough syrup & drink. LEMON will add vitC & other immune boosting properties. Google ALLICIN & it’s wonderful affects of health giving properties (found in garlic & onions).
