01.01.2022 Under a new Public Health Direction, effective 5.30pm today (Thursday 19 November 2020) anyone travelling to the ACT who has been in South Australia (SA) in ...the past 14 days must complete an online declaration. The online declaration must be completed within 24 hours prior to travel. From 5.30pm, any travellers, including ACT residents, entering the Territory will be required to declare that in the 14 days prior to entering the ACT, they have not: visited a place in SA that has been identified by SA Health in a COVID-19 Health Alert (https://bit.ly/2HfsYvz), where the individual is required to enter a period of quarantine (a COVID-19 Declared Place), and had contact with a person who is a confirmed case of COVID-19. Any ACT resident who has declared they’ve been in a COVID-19 Declared Place will be required to quarantine until 14 days have passed since they were last in the Declared Place. Providing these criteria have been met, all travellers from SA to the ACT will be permitted to enter without the need to quarantine. Upon entry, people will be asked to present a copy of their declaration, which they’ll always need to carry with them while in the ACT. If you're transiting through other jurisdictions to the ACT from SA, you must follow the health directions issued by the state or territory you’re in while in transit. All of SA is currently subject to a Stay At Home Direction until 25 November 2020. No one should be travelling between the ACT and SA unless for essential purposes. ACT Health continues to monitor the evolving COVID-19 situation in SA and will keep the community updated. A list of exposure sites associated with the ongoing cluster can be found on the SA Health page (https://bit.ly/2HfsYvz). It's important to check this regularly if you’ve been in SA in the previous 14 days.
