24.01.2022 U17’s Boys Whilst the season has only just finished we will be looking to move into sevens rugby. The U/17’s state sevens championship will be held at Bowral 12th/13th December. Sydney Uni will he entering a team that will be coached by Uni development officer Chris Delooz, who has a wealth of experience including coaching past NSW sevens squads. As we will be aligning with Sydney Uni next year this is an opening opportunity to see how the club works. What I am after initially is expressions of interest and then we will organise training and trials in the next couple of weeks. Please let us know if you/your son is interested in playing.

10.01.2022 Hi All ATTENTION U10s PARENTS AND PLAYERS - EXPRESSIONS OF INTEREST : Inner West Rugby Spring/Summer Development program Is your rugby child missing rugby and have too much energy on a Sunday afternoon? Do you want them to have a constructive outlet that will consolidate the skills they developed over the 2020 rugby season? Then read on...... In response to the truncated 2020 season and with the aim of improving our junior rugby talent in the inner west - Petersham JRU, Balmain JRU and Canterbury JRU have pulled together and organised a Rugby Development program for the Inner West/Sydney Uni district. I am the contact for Petersham JRU and will be organising the event in conjunction with BJRU and CJRU. If you have any questions please don't hesitate to reach out. This exciting initiative will provide an opportunity to continue the development of core skills and additional game play until summer. Objective Continued skill development of existing players in local area Recruitment of new players interesting in trying rugby. Anyone that missed out on playing U11 rugby this year is very welcome to join in the Development Program. Exposure to 7s/10s modified form of Rugby Create a rugby festival community based and friendly (non-competition) games Start Dates 2pm start, Sunday, 25 October 2020 4-6 week program (23 Nov) with option to extend - dependant on numbers and player availability Format Divide into age groups (pending numbers) u10/11, u12/13, u14+, Girls 12+ Drills 3 * 15 minutes (pass, tackle, ruck etc) - We will have an emphasis on 7s/10s Friendly Games 7/10 aside 2 * 10/15-minute halves. Due the various finishing dates Schools, Clu...b U18 Rugby, Shute Shield/Subbies colts and Country Rugby the following will occur 22 September- GPS 1 and 2 v NSW Barbarians 1 and 2 (players spotted from various comps that are either finished or without a clash and available) November 1st Open trials for Club & CHS/CCC/AICES players from Sydney and Country November 8th - City v Country U18 November 14th - School leavers v NSW Juniors (selected from the best players of Sydney v Country) November 21st - It is proposed that NSW U18 play Queensland U18 (however this is not confirmed at the time of writing).
