First telephone in Campsie, ca 1940 This telephone was installed about 1918 and was ...apparently the first telephone in Campsie. It was in the first shop in Beamish Street, Campsie. 03.01.2022 #FlashbackFriday Fletchers Dairy truck, Kingsgrove, ca 1950s Fletchers Dairy truck parked on Sharp Street, Kingsgrove ( now known as Kingsgrove Road, Clemton Pa...rk ) just up the road from the car factory. There were 156 cattle, eleven ( 11 ) milk cows ( extra milk was purchased from the Co-op ), eleven carts ( 11 ) carts and twelve ( 12 ) to forteen ( 14 ) horses. The diary farm was located on the corner of Kingsgrove Road and Chisholm Avenue, Clemtom Park. The land was leased from about 1938 and by 1942 the family operated three ( 3 ) milk runs.
