23.01.2022 In 2014 Americans ate 511 million sliced apples. A study found that kids were throwing away their apples because eating it was too much work. So when it is pre sliced they eat it. I have noticed over the last 5 years there is a lot more pre sliced food in Australia and it sells well. We are now moving so little that we don't even want to peel fruit and slice it. Think of the movement that you are not doing by making these small decisions over the course of the day. ... Our Grandparents use to grow their fruit, pick it, peel it, slice it and make jam with the left overs. it's no coincidence that previous generations were fitter, stronger and not overweight. My father-in-law has a lemon tree and from that tree he makes limoncello. He also makes lemon butter from that tree. It takes time and a lot of movement to make these. This is time that he is moving rather than sitting on his bum watching TV. It's no surprise that he is one of fittest and most mobile 73 year olds I know. Next time you are thinking of buying the pre cut food think about the cost of the convenience to your body and how you are moving less to get the food. Normally the time we save is replaced by being inactive.
19.01.2022 The gym is looking huge now that the walls were knocked out on Thursday. It was a noisy week with getting a new roof and walls getting knocked out.
19.01.2022 The building is coming along with only 2 weeks until it is finished! This Tuesday we will have a new roof over the whole building.

16.01.2022 If you have chronic pain then this would be a great research project to be involved in. The longer I work as a Physio the more I believe what we eat is a big cause of musculoskeletal pain. This research is testing the effect of food on chronic pain.

09.01.2022 Training with one set to muscular failure works for everyone. In this video Dorian Yates is training a client with high intensity training on the pullover machine. Dorian Yates won the Mr Olympia 6 times using high intensity training.He realised early on in his career that you need to stimulate with high intensity and then let your muscles recover. 09.01.2022 A lot of work got done on the extensions this week. We can really see how big the space will be for the gym equipment.
07.01.2022 We are so excited. The building extension for our gym has been approved by council. Hopefully it will be finished in 3 months time.
