25.01.2022 Congratulations to the Best of the Rest winners @ Canungra Classic 2019 Glen Macleod Rob DeGroot Tony Cross

23.01.2022 Congratulations to the winners of the 2019 Canungra Classic - Steve Crosby - Glen Macleod - Steve Docherty ... After an awesome week it all came down to a thrilling finale on day 7, with minimal points between the top 11. With predicted rain for Friday afternoon and a monsoon guaranteed to wipe out Saturday, task 6 proved to be the last. A 60km task was called from Beechmont to Veresdale to Boonah Airstrip. Eventually lightning was spotted at the 1st turnpoint so the task was stopped. Pilots had to fly as far as Rathdowney to get down but thankfully everyone got to ground safely. Presentation was brought forward to Friday night and it was awesome to see in form Steve Crosby, Canungra local Glen Macleod and Scottish star Steve Docherty take out the top 3 More to come on the other winners....

22.01.2022 Day 1 we had 8 in goal with a few just short of goal. Top 3 for day: Jonny Durand Rob Degroot Glen Macleod ... http://xc.highcloud.net/task_result.html

14.01.2022 Day 2 - 75km task with goal just west of Beaudesert

12.01.2022 Day 5, task 4 wrap - Yesterday we had a 86km task from Beechmont - Abattoir - Boonah T - Croftby - Moogerah Dam goal. 11 pilots made goal as they managed very poor visibility from NSW bushfire smoke. The lift was still very good as Craig Taylor took out the day win, taking the last start gate and catching up with the leaders. Brad Porter first into goal after Glen Macleod lead for the majority of the day. Canungra local Glen Macleod picked up 3rd place overall and now moves atop of the overall leaderboard with 2-3 days to go.

10.01.2022 Canungra Classic Presentation has been moved forward to TONIGHT at 7.30pm due to tomorrow’s bad forecast. Food from 6.30pm (now!). Canungra Pub.

10.01.2022 A few weeks ago at the 2019 Canungra Hang Gliding Classic these two guys etched their name into the competitions long and proud history. Jay Longden joins a long list of legends who have won B-Grade at the QLD Championships. While Glen Macleod became the first guy in 20 years (whose name is not Jonny Durand) to win A-Grade

09.01.2022 Back from the dead Jonny made a miraculous recovery on Day 6, going from the hospital bed to winning the day to give himself a big chance of still winning the comp. Things are unbelievably close with the current top 11 all having a shot at taking the lead by the end of tomorrow.

09.01.2022 Day 4 - Rest day Weather forecast for today shows similar stable conditions as yesterday but with a lot stronger winds up high....to again compliment a lovely 39 degrees on the ground Safety committee has agreed to give pilots a rest day with tomorrow’s conditions looking very good off Beechmont. With 20-time champion Jonny Durand out, the race is wide open with not much separating the top 10 or so

07.01.2022 Day 2 saw a total of 9 pilots make goal with a few agonisingly short of the 75km task. Good effort in the broken semi-stable lift. Well done to Brad Porter winning the day! Special mention to Jonny Durand for still getting to goal under serious duress. - Brad Porter 2nd - Steve Crosby 3rd - Steve Docherty

07.01.2022 Day 3 gave the pilots weather forecasts of 10,000ft cloud base in some areas. Unfortunately the good stuff was 60km to the Southwest. Overall it was very stable and many didn’t get further than 1 thermal. Well done to SteveC and SteveD both grinding it out to get past turn point 1. Keep an eye out for superstar Dr Craig Taylor interviewing on channel 7 news

01.01.2022 Congratulations to the Sports Class winners - Tim Cummings - Colin Rushton - Peter Garrone... Well said Tim. Awesome to see the comradery between all involved in Sports Class.
