25.01.2022 The Canungra Cup 2018 has come to a premature close due to bad weather. We have however, had 3 tasks and links to results are below. Despite the bad weather, i believe most pilots enjoyed what flying they did have and left with some good memories. Many thanks to those that made this event possible. 25.01.2022 Only 1 day to go to the 2017 edition.

25.01.2022 Winter flying in Canungra doesn't get much better than a afternoon spent flying with mates with good 3m/s thermals to 2100m . A controlled burn on the south side of Tambo made for a interesting sky. We all flew everywhere but all ended up in the pub eventually.

22.01.2022 The Dates for the 2018 Canungra cup will be the 6th to the 13th of October. Registration will open May or June.

20.01.2022 Day 4, task 4. Once again we have a dubious forecast and once again we squeeze a task out of it. 48k race from tambo to laravale then goal at boonah T. Looks like a lot made goal. Before the southerly change hit.

19.01.2022 Day 3, task 1. Today we flew. 75k to kyogle. 2 in goal.

18.01.2022 Day 4, Weird forecast , The day starts with a westerly, Turns southerly then northeasterly. We set a task at Hinchcliffes but got cancelled last minuets due to safety concerns. Pilots free flew , then 40 minuet's later in rained and gust fronted. All pilots landed safely.

16.01.2022 The Canungra cup is now full with 90 pilots looking forward to a week of great flying. Conditions have been good over winter which is a good sign of things to come.

14.01.2022 Day 6, No task due to strong wind.

13.01.2022 Day 2, a day trip to hinches with a forecast of the wind dropping, it picked up instead and so the day was cancelled. 2 pilots braved the wind anyway.

10.01.2022 No task today as cloud base is too low. Looking good for Friday and Saturday.

09.01.2022 Day 3, task 3. A bit breezy but Brooke Whatnall tests the air on the swing nexus.

09.01.2022 Day 1. It all starts with the first briefing , followed by a journey to launch. Unfortunately the forecasts were true and the predicted wind was too strong to fly and so the day was cancelled. Good turn out for dinner at the rsl.

07.01.2022 Day 5, task 2. A 75k race to Coulson via Boonah T. Very tricky conditions around launch followed by a mystery nw wind made the task hard for most. Wally made the most of the day and got to with a couple of K from goal. As for launch conditions, i think JJ 's expression says it all.

07.01.2022 Congratulations to the 2015 winner of the Canungra Cup, Felipe and many thanks to all that attended . Next years provisional dates are 8th Oct - 15th.

07.01.2022 So much hope for today. Came good at beechy after a long wait and a 54k race was set. Unfortunately rain stopped play after ten minuets past the start time so its not a valid task. Fingers crossed for tomorrow's last day.
