02.01.2022 Doing experiments in SPOT sessions! So many goals being targeted and so much fun! 1. Spread shaving cream on the foam blocks with a knife (fine motor & ADLs) 2. Build a volcano with the blocks (imaginative play). 3. Combine vinegar & food colouring (motor planning). ... 4. Put bicarb in the volcano. 5. Pour vinegar in (visual processing) 6. Watch the lava flow out!! Combined with language goals 1. Naming & identifying all materials (vocabulary building). 2. Where do we put it? How do you build it? (Wh concepts). 3. Explain what you did (sequencing steps & procedures). 4. Prediction of what will happen (comprehension skills).
