14.01.2022 THERE’S A CHANGE. For those that have read this post before and are thinking of going, the venue on Sunday May 27th has changed. It is now at St George’s community centre. Gibney St Dunsborough. Cape Harmony Choir, under the direction of Cornelius de Munck, is excited to present Opera Pops at their May concert. It will feature some of the best known and beloved choruses, duets and solos from the entire operatic repertoire. It will include the Chorus of the Hebrew Slaves (...Nabucco), The Humming Chorus ( Madam Butterfly), The Anvil Chorus ( Il Trovatore), The Triumphal Chorus ( Aida), and Libiamo (The Drinking Song) from Verdi’s La Traviata . The duet that topped the ABC’s 100 Best Vocal Hits, ‘’ In the Depths of the Temple’’ (The Pearl Fishers), will also be performed. This is a concert that even those who feel that they don’t like or understand opera will enjoy. The concert dates and times are: Saturday, the 26th of May at 2.00pm in St Mary’s Family Centre, Busselton. Sunday, the 27th of May at 2.00pm in St George’s Community Centre, 48 Gibney St Dunsborough Please do not forget to write these dates in your diary. Tickets will be available from mid May at Callows Newsagency, Busselton and Seachange Newsagency, Dunsborough. Tickets will also be available at the door. All tickets are $20.00 a person and include light refreshments.

12.01.2022 CAPE HARMONY. THE WORLD OF MUSICALS MAY 21st Busselton AND MAY 28 th Dunsborough ... The time for our mid year concerts is approaching fast and the choir has been rehearsing passionately under the inspiring direction of Cornelius de Munck. The title of this year's concerts is "The World of Musicals"and includes smash hits from Abba, Les Miserables, The Lion King, My Fair Ladyand Rogers and Hammerstein on Broadway. The dates for the concerts are: Sunday the 21st of May in St Mary's Family Centre, Busselton at 2.00 pm Sunday the 28th of May in St George's Community Centre, Dunsborough at2.00 pm Tickets are $20.00 a head and include light refreshments. They will be available late April from Callows Newsagency, Busselton, Sea Change Newsagency, Dunsborough and at the door.

10.01.2022 CAPE HARMONY CHRISTMAS CONCERT Let your spirits be raised this Christmas season with the splendid singing of the Cape Harmony Choir under the direction of Cornelius de Munck. The concert this year will feature the exquisitely beguiling choral music of the beloved English composer John Rutter. The choir has resumed rehearsing after having to cancel its planned Proms performance in May and are full of enthusiasm and affection for the attractive Christmas repertoire. Join with ...us for the traditional port and mince pie during the interval. The concert times and dates are: Saturday, the 12th of December, in the Uniting Church, Kent St, Busselton at 2.00pm. Sunday, the 13th of December, in Our Lady of the Southern Cross Catholic Church, Naturaliste Tce, Dunsborough at 2.00 pm. Tickets, which include a fruit mince pie and Port, are $20.00 a person. Children under 12 are FREE. 07.01.2022 The choir, under the direction of Cornelius de Munck, is thrilled to perform an afternoon of Gilbert and Sullivan compositions and some other relevant works. The first half of the programme includes excerpts from The Pirates of Penzance and The Mikado, interspersed with solos and duets. A semi staged performance of Trial by Jury will complete the second half. The concert dates and times are:... Saturday, the 18th of May at 2.00pm in St Mary’s Anglican Church, Busselton. Sunday, the 19th of May at 2.00pm in St Georges Family Centre, Dunsborough. A limited number of tickets will be made available this season and will not be released until the 24th of April. 02.01.2022 Cape Harmony Choir’s Classical Christmas Concert Cape Harmony Choir will be singing two concerts in December. Saturday 8th December at St Mary’s Anglican Church, Busselton, and at Our Lady of the Southern Cross Catholic Church, Dunsborough on Sunday 9th December. Both performances commence at 2pm. The choir likes to sing seasonal music away from its standard, often somewhat hackneyed, Christmas fare, hence the name of the concert A Cape Harmony Classical Christmas. The musi...c will be conducted by Cornelius de Munck and accompanied by Anna Bogachova. The concert covers many centuries of choral music. If you watched Meghan and Harry’s royal wedding you would have been impressed by the music and especially the exquisite anthem If You Love Me by the Tudor composer Thomas Tallis. This will be sung by the choir. Featured composers include Vivaldi, Bach, Handel, Mozart, Haydn and Berlioz. As well several attractive Australian Christmas carols by James Wheeler will be sung. The men in the choir will do an amusing send up of traditional English waits The Carol Singers. Solos, duets and small ensemble singing will further enhance the attraction and variety of the afternoon. Included in the admission price of $20.00 will be a glass of port and a mince pie.
