25.01.2022 See this, he's my friend Bob and he's super special. He will eat all your garden pests but he's really slow and likes to cross the road really really slowly at ...busy times of the day like when your rushing to work or on the school run, he also kinda looks like a log and is hard to see. take an extra minute out of your day and slow down for Bob and all the ducklings currently crossing the roads too. #bobtail #shingleback #lizard #rescue #yallingup #dunsborough #reptile
25.01.2022 This is huge!!!! Go Munty!!! This little rescue carpet python has been with me for over 5 years. He had deep neck injuries and his tongue had been bitten off. H...is tongue re-grew but it did not fork. Today is a massive achievement as he grabbed his food for the first time. I have tube fed and assist fed to this point. I was unsure if he would ever be able to self feed but I was not about to give up hope and look what just happened. Reptiles never cease to amaze me with their capacity to heal. They just need time and a very patient determined to beat the odds carer. #nevergiveup #carpetpython #carpetpythonsofinstagram #snakesofinstagram #snakesofinsta #snakesofig #bestbirthdaygift #bestbirthdaygiftever #visitwesternaustralia #westaustralianwildlife #wildlifecarer #breakthrough #welldone See more
22.01.2022 PLEASE SHARE WIDELY - WE NEED THIS TO GO GLOBAL The climate change analysis was written by a former fossil fuel executive and backed by the former chief of Aust...ralia's military. We simply can not allow the expansion of the Fossil fuel industry if we are to have any hope in a liveable climate for all life on our planet. I have felt for a long time that what is coming down the line will be far worse than all the worlds wars combined, if we do not make a stand. We have won many big fights in the past, and know that if we come together, we can stop this madness. We have to, because if we lose, we all lose. If our jails are filled with mums, dads, grand parents and kids, well then so be it. Which in reality is a very small price to pay, when you look at the sacrifices made by women and men during previous wars. World War 3 is upon us, its also called the 6th extinction and scientists have called it the homoscene, because its caused by humans. Yet the extinction rate is much faster than all the previous extinction events. CO2 levels are now at 415 parts per million, an amount not seen for past 800,000 years. - https://www.livescience.com/65469-highest-carbon-dioxide-le We can no longer sugar coat what is happening. We have to make a stand. Yes, its not a pretty picture, however on the other hand, makes us appreciate how fragile and precious life is. Planet killers like Adani, Gina, Clive and Equinor, must be stopped.
22.01.2022 Slow down around wildlife. Four dead endangered Carnaby Cockatoos at once. These birds have a slow take-off, making them vulnerable to cars. #fb This update came from the Ravensthorpe Police on Twitter

19.01.2022 How the media works. They do not write the factual truth - they merely pick words which will ‘sell’, and make for a good story
18.01.2022 Almost at 1000 in less than 24 hours, what a team! Please sign and keep sharing. This is as urgent as it gets for this magnificent forest.
17.01.2022 We only come out at night.... Nothing like a Tiger snake in your kitchen at 1am... Luckily the two human residents are animal lovers so this little fella was... happily released into their garden from whence he came. Keeping snakes within their home range is the best option! Thank you ladies for caring about our slithery critters! See more
14.01.2022 This is why we don't use Ratsak!!! While it maybe effective on rodents, unfortunately it doesn't kill immediately, and the dying mice become an easy but incred...ibly toxic meal for our predator wildlife. And the effects are irreversible, painful and eventually fatal!! Please rethink using baits!!! Traps are a much better alternative, and safer for your pets and our wildlife! But please DON'T use sticky sheets or other random torturous devices!! If you don't like to use hard snap traps which kill quickly, there is a wide range of humane nonkill traps available too!! 13.01.2022 Did you know? Electrical malfunctions are the second leading cause of house fires in the US (and many other places). Arcing (sparks jumping from one exposed wire to another) is the heat source in three-fifths of those cases. Rodents are responsible for many of these fires by chewing the insulation off of home circuitry.

08.01.2022 Tiger snake release.... the property owners were surprised to find a tiger hanging out in the weatherboards of their house as they had just installed all ‘those snake repellers’ .... . Yup - they do not work!! #snakerelease #tigersnake #wildlifecarer #snakerescue #loveallwildlife
08.01.2022 February through March is often the time of year known as "baby snake season." Brown snake babies are hatching out of their eggs and tiger snake tots are being ...birthed out of their mothers, so what do we need to do? The answer is...not much. Like their parents, baby snakes just want to be left alone to go about their business. It can be warm this time of year so they may be looking for places to hide and keep cool but it can be hard to spot them, they're absolutely tiny! Are baby snakes more venomous or aggressive than their parents? First of all NO snake is aggressive, they are purely defensive animals and when you're the size of a worm you are going to be extremely defensive, everything wants to eat you! Secondly baby snakes are not more venomous than their parents, their venom composition is different when they are younger as they are eating smaller prey items compared to the adults. Baby snakes are crucial to a healthy food chain! Birds, lizards, frogs and other creatures eat baby snakes, out of a clutch of thirty babies only one is likely to survive to adulthood, the rest are food! So if you see a baby snake outside it is best to leave it alone, something will want it for its lunch! See more

02.01.2022 Help celebrate national wildlife day!
01.01.2022 Snakes of Mandurah Pictured here are the main snakes you'll see in and around the Mandurah and greater Peel region. Most of these are for want of a better word..., non-life threatening and pose no real danger to humans aside from typically local symptoms (however, of course, all bites should be taken seriously as everyone reacts to venom differently). Encountering snakes during the warmer months is something synonymous with Australia and it's warmer seasons. Spring time start with an abundance of wildlife looking to mate, eat and just enjoy the warmer weather we're all experiencing. And with these warmer days, while many wildlife are active - it's time to start being vigilant in our daily activities. Morning walks and walks with dogs should be done with the mindset of watching where you put your feet and where your dog's attention is - morning sunlight brings out the snakes so they can bask. And these are of no danger so long as you are watching where you're going and giving them a wide enough berth. Most will generally scoot off into the bush/shrubs etc as you approach anyway. Some may stay there as you pass by though. But remain calm, give them a wide berth and walk slowly around them. And if needed keep your dog/and or kids on a short leash ;) Always remember to stay calm, snakes react defensively to sudden and erratic movements. The calmer you appear, the calmer the snakes will be around you. ;) We have wonderful wildlife around us and great looking snakes that should be respected and admired from a distance. For us here at MSR, there's nothing more that we love to see than a snake in it's natural habitat being able to move with ease as nature intended. I hope that following this page, people can appreciate all manner of wildlife and understand more about our much maligned species - like our wonderful snakes ;) Hope you're all enjoying your week so far and looking forward to the weekend! - Adam
