25.01.2022 Congratulations to Jaysen Miguel, Jeremy Doble, Riley Miguel and Joe Barningham on winning the 2020 edition of the VW Scramble held at Capel GC on Sunday 13th September. Their score of 56.125 won in a tight contest with two other teams. Thanks to all who competed.

24.01.2022 Congratulations to the winners and placegetters in the 2020 Capel 3000 sponsored by Ladmach Engineering. Thanks to Darryl Klein from Ladmach who was on hand to present the prizes to the winners on the day. Feedback on the day was extremely positive, with participants praising the brilliant condition of the course presented by Max and his staff. Many thanks also to club captain Gary Hywood for his organisational efforts, his match committee assistants, as well as all the staf...f who worked tirelessly to make the event a success. The last 3 months, we have been averaging nearly 60 players each Friday which is a great increase in numbers from previous seasons. Obviously Chase the Ace has helped, but the number of newer members participating is very encouraging for the clubs growth. Friday nights just rock at the moment!

12.01.2022 A great field of 114 people competed in the annual Ray and Lil’s Champagne Breakfast 14 hole 2 ball Ambrose event. It is a day to encourage non- golfers to team up with a golfer and have a go at playing golf. Congratulations to the pairing of Shaye Trezise and Jenny Burton who won with a score of 46.92. Winning the trophy for the best score with a non- golfer was Allen Wallrodt and his daughter Jess. A big thank you to all the helpers on the day.

08.01.2022 The 2020 Mixed Foursomes Championship was held over the weekend in beautiful sunny conditions. Congratulations to Karen Lange and Shaye Trezise for winning for the second year in a row. After a tough morning round they came with a rush to win from Di Templeman and Duncan Scott. Net Winners were Lil Miguel and Ray Rendell, with Judy Simmons and Trevor Davis finishing as runners up. Thanks to all teams who played, and see you all next year!

02.01.2022 All the staff at the Rusty Putter would like to say a big thank you for your continued patronage of our restaurant. It is amazing to see the same faces every week and enjoying our pub style food. We do endeavour to make sure everyone gets their meals in a timely manner, and unfortunately sometimes that's not the case, so we do humbly apologise to anyone that this happens too. The fact that we do a large number of meals in just over 2 hrs I think is great, but we do recognise some orders get lost in the organised chaos.
