Feeding the fish at Neds is guaranteed to delight and one of the most memorable experiences on a holiday on Lord Howe. Local tip: take a goldy ($1 coin) for the fish food dispenser!

13.01.2022 Little Island is a lovely stroll down the hill from Capella along Lord Howe’s southwestern shoreline to the base of Mount Gower. The walk leads through a shady arbour of banyan trees and kentia palms, which offer the ideal habitat for the endangered Lord Howe Island Woodhen. At the end of the track there’s a beautiful patch of green grass, perfect to sit for a bit and soak up the stunning views of the mountains and the Tasman Sea.
