22.01.2022 We can imagine a few people have been waiting to hear if we will be opening over this long weekend, sadly we are not. We cannot see a way to safely open our doors in line with restrictions with the limited staff we have at the moment. As well as with the restrictions still surrounding the bar and social distancing... Were keeping our fingers crossed and hoping for some better news in the coming weeks. We still promise to update the page as soon as we have an opening date! The bonfire is sitting ready for the occasion We hope everyone has a safe and enjoyable long weekend

21.01.2022 Ok so i thought that the worst thing was a pub with no beer, but you know i was wrong the worst thing is a pub with no people.....
20.01.2022 Some big changes are coming at the Capertee Royal Hotel and soon enough you will be able to have a full Craft Works Distillery cellar door experience at the bar... including. 1) Craft Works Distillery whisky/ Eau de Vie tasting flights. 2) Comprehensive Craft Works Distillery range of whisky/spirits on the bar including releases long sold out , it will be the only bar in Australia with the complete range on offer. 3) Craft Works Chill & Warm ODV Eau die Vie distilled cider cocktails. So in other words, if I am not in the shed you can still enjoy Craft Works Distillery spirits 7 days a week. Announcement on opening day to follow shortly. I am so excited and looking forward to the return of the cozy pub and ,the winter fires , drinking a Hop & Clover Brewing bitter ale craft beer and maybe a whisky or two with a good meal. I look forward to the return.

19.01.2022 LONG (& A LITTLE EMOTIONAL) POST AHEAD!! So we realised its been over 10 years that weve had the hotel and hopefully we can all catch up very soon in person. We will confirm later this week when doors will be opening! Recently while looking at a slideshow done for us as a gift years ago by a very talented person, we remembered the massive job that we undertook in 2010. The truth is we couldnt have done it without all the help from our family, friends, locals & contractors.... We also couldnt have done it without the staff. Les what can I say you came with the building! You have saved my bacon on so many occasions with your fantastic memory for names & places. Alaina our wonderful accommodation manager so thankful youre in our lives, so organised managing the accommodation & the bar always with a smile. Arun thanks for all your help in the last years we will always love you. Bec wow you are always there behind the scenes helping & we will always need you in our lives. Kazza where do I begin? You give 500% we would not have survived without you. Caroline all your wonderful meals over the years & always a fantastic friend. Katherine although new to the team, she has been working tirelessly on the new menu, so exciting, she is very talented. Wheres Wally? Everyone from Capertee will know who Wally is, but he has been so instrumental in starting up again & making it all work, even though hed much rather be out blowing things up. Reine our beautiful soul who gives so much time to help us. Even though technically hes not staff Rodger has been giving his all to the job, I now have half a thumb, hopefully thats all I get other than his fantastic building skills. 18.01.2022 The Bistro is open!! Thank you SO much to everyone who stopped by over the long weekend We are so grateful for your support and patience! We understand it can be frustrating following social distancing rules and having to sign in (even if it’s only to grab take-away) but we are very thankful to those who followed the rules and who took the time to make a booking for the bistro Also a massive thank you to our amazing customers who waited so patiently for their food on this ...busy long weekend! 16.01.2022 Sadly until the government relaxes the law to allow us to open the bar and not just the restaurant we will not be opening yet, but we are definitely getting ready !
16.01.2022 We prioritise the health and safety of our customers, locals and staff so to abide by the current Covid 19 laws and regulations we are using a QR code signing in platform. Your name, date & time of visit and phone number/email address are entered into our system and kept in case of a potential virus breakout affecting the pub and its patrons. Because of the rural locality of the pub, Telstra and any providers using its network are the only ones that will receive service use...d for signing in. We are currently working towards a plan that will allow any provider with little or no service to sign in but for now Telstras network is the only option If you do not have a Telstra phone, we do have one behind the counter - however it is used for bookings as well. Also dont forget to bring in your glasses if needed, so youre able to read the form! We apologise for any inconvenience, thank you so much for everyones patience
16.01.2022 Seems like the Train and Markets at Capertee where once again a success! We had heaps of people coming to the pub, and we can only imagine there was twice as many that went to the markets. We even had our own local celebrity stop in for lunch! Mayor Maree Statham :) Thank you to everyone who organised the markets today, and all those who made them possible. 13.01.2022 Saturday the 8th of July will be Capertee Hotels annual New years in July! Where we have our amazing fireworks! We will have live music from Dean Taylor from 6.00pm - 10.00pm, and the bar open until late! It is a family friendly night that everyone can enjoy! ... We all hope too see you there!

05.01.2022 Were sure a lot of people have been waiting for this post... But finally Im beyond excited to announce that we are opening tomorrow! Doors will be opened from 4pm, we advise pre-booking dinner due to COVID limitations. Sadly we wont be able to guarantee a table without booking Were still trying to find our rhythm, we hope you can forgive us for our stumbles, falls and lack of organisational skills - its a learning curve for us all ... Please note our internal venue capacity is 38 people. External capacity (daytime) is up to 100 people Please call 0492 870 662 for bookings or queries Were so relieved to finally be able to announce this! Also a massive shout out to Jo & Matt for all their help these last few days. We appreciate all of you so much! 03.01.2022 ~ Job Opportunity ~ We are looking for a cook & cleaner to join our team Cook must have experience and be able to work in a diverse and fast paced environment. Accomodation is available for our new wonderful cook if needed... perfect for a tree change! ... At this stage our cooking position will be from Thursday - Sunday (lunch & dinner) and our cleaning position is for Thursday & Saturday.
