24.01.2022 If any friends and guests would like to support talented local photographer Sam, her 2021 calendar filled with spectacular shots of the Capertee Valley is available to order. Just $30 (but you'd need to ask her about postage and handling, if you're interested). Last orders today as she's finalising numbers with her printer. #caperteevalley #caperteevalleyfarmstays

19.01.2022 Water is a topic close to our heart... this past year many members of our community have joined together for walks and talks and education about how we can make the valley more resilient to drought. The latest project is an art installation placed on the farm just ‘up’ from here. If you are visiting in the next month or so... take a little drive towards Glen Alice and look out for the lit up woven sculpture(s) on your left. Artist: Leanne Thompson with Kandos School of Cultu...ral Adaptation with master-weavers Lany and Peter #artinthevalley #ittakesavillage #waterislife #caperteevalleyfarmstays

11.01.2022 The main bedroom. The stunning photo of the valley is by local artist Samateur Picography

10.01.2022 Once upon a time, when women were birds, there was the simple understanding that to sing at dawn and to sing at dusk was to heal the world through joy. The... birds still remember what we have forgotten, that the world is meant to be celebrated. ~Terry Tempest Williams Photograph: Viola Loretti See more

08.01.2022 The magnificent regal wedge-tailed eagles are the apex bird in the valley... often seen flying over open fields or cleaning up roadkill, especially wallabies. This photo taken by Tim Frew last week. For more on these raptors see https://ebird.org/species/weteag1 ... #caperteevalleyfarmstays #australianraptors #wedgetailedeagle #tourismnsw

07.01.2022 So many of the guests we welcome wish they could move in... but no one beats these VVIP guests who’ve had a permanent Spring booking for the sweet nest in the roof of the carport. It’s at least 4 years in a row for this Willy Wagtail couple. Mum sits on the nest... and Dad acts like he owns the place. Get ready for his chirpy lecture when you sit on the deck.
