21.01.2022 We can't help but smile when we get sent some of your beautiful stories. We love that we can help.make a traumatic day just that little bit better Hello! Just wanted to show you one of your capes in action and say thank you for making them available. My autistic 5 year old found himself in emergency after breaking a finger. Not only did he have to fast for 5 hours while we waited for the orthopaedic surgeon but due to the timing, the poor kid missed not one but two birthd...ay parties. One of the nurses came out with two capes for him to choose from and he was delighted. His spirits improved remarkably! Fortunately he didn’t need surgery so he’s back home, still wearing his brace boy cape. Thanks for making a traumatic day that little bit better.

15.01.2022 A huge thanks again to the amazing Paula Cruden Managing Director at Integrite Insurance Pty Ltd Paula has looked after our charities PLI insurance for the last couple of years always making sure our chairty is protected, Compliant and affordable. Charities like ours need to hold and always maintain a $20million Public liability insurance policy which we need to fundraise for throughout the year, this year been extremely hard for us due to covid but with your help we got there. It has had a twofold benefit..... * making some new people aware of the program, that they had never heard of & * putting a smile on the faces of some Victorian teachers who haven't had face to face contact with their grades for far far too long. Go Team CAPE!!!!!!!!... Subject: Cape 4 Kids Sponsorship Good Afternoon I am a Nurse from Cairns, Qld working in Paediatric Oncology. I thought you might like to know that one of the Capes for Kids that your staff sponsored reached a very worthy child today.The particular cape that had your sponsorship certificate in it went to a 5 year old boy who has been on a very tough journey of a cancer diagnosis, has spent months in hospital receiving treatment and is now being monitored post treatment by us here at the Cairns Hospital.His cape had all of his favourite super heroes such as Hulk, Captain America and Iron Man on it and I swear he grew ten feet taller as soon as he put it on !He put it on to go and have a blood test and we told him it would make him so brave when he gets his blood test, AND IT DID !!Thankyou to all the staff at Mooroolbark Primary School who have contributed to this very worthy cause.It certainly was very much appreciated by the patient who received it. !!I hope you are all looking after yourselves to the best of your abilities during these crazy covid times.
