23.01.2022 Prime Meat Co. Wagerup Capital were contracted to demolish and remove a large portion of the old Wagerup meat works, as part of a refurbishment program by the new owners Prime Meat Co. A large portion of the old Rendering Plant and boiler room were scrapped after sitting dormant for over a decade to making way for new equipment. Shed structures, old silos, tanks , boilers and cooling systems formed part of the works carried out with precision by our exper...t crew of Ray, Timon and Dean. 22.01.2022 Its not all just "Bash & Crash" After careful assessment, engagement of structural engineers to assist with methodology and the owners wanting to assess equipment and parts of the building for re-use, work began recently on the deconstruction of a waste recycling facility in South Guildford gutted by fire late last year. After clearing floors for access, work initially began with removal of roof and wall sheeting, followed by the mechanical and manual demolition of the roof structure. More progress pics to follow

21.01.2022 It was great to see Rachel Beers VE Commodore zooming around Barbagallo raceway on Sunday. Despite some pretty average weather, she was able to complete some pretty decent laps and finish with third place in the Improved Production class. Rachel is looking to be back out on the track again in mid October, so keep yours eyes peeled for info about that in the future.

19.01.2022 Capital recently completed a demolition in Dampier Rd Welshpool under management by Insight Project Services Pty Ltd (IPS). The job entailed complete demolition of all structures on site - the old Nufarm Agriculture Chemical factory site. One structure that looked like a very tall shed was in fact a 3 story plant with concrete floors suspended from the formwork on the 1st and 2nd levels. The most effective way to demolish this structure was to peel off the outside sheeting with the excavator, wedge cut the upright columns and push the structure over allowing safe and easy processing at ground level

18.01.2022 *Demolition Down Under* Part 3 Residents of Mercycare Wembley this week got to witness some of Capitals up and coming future TV stars as they begin to carefully dismantle and demolish several buildings within the complex. Surrounded by busy driveways and curious residents, excavator operator Danny and labourer Tardis got to work on safely demolishing Carlow House and Sawle House. Cameraman/director extraordinaire Nathan Hayter, from Wildbear Entertainment, watched on c...losely with his large array of cameras and drones to capture all the exciting aspects of the job, to be featured in the upcoming observational documentary series Demolition Down Under, which will be screening on The Discovery Channel and Channel 10. 18.01.2022 Working in the City always has its challenges, the least of which is the actual demolition. Access for heavy equipment, road closures and inquisitive pedestrians always add to the challenge. 900 Hays St saw the removal of the old 2 storey complex that housed the Musgroves Music Store for many years. With a busy Hay St to the front, an active multi story Wilson Car Park to the rear with a shared driveway that had to remain open at all times, planning and execution were a must. 17.01.2022 374-396 Murray St Perth saw the demolition of a small car parking lot, an adjoining set of retail buildings and the partial demolition of a two storey office building to make way for a multi-story apartment/hotel complex. The works were complicated by a very old brick wall that abutted another building at the rear of the site plus the remains of several building footings located under the asphalt and sub-base of the car park. In typical fashion of demolition works from 30+ ye...ars ago, the buildings had been taken down to floor level and the car park built over the top of the remains. Another bygone era practice was to smash out the asbestos building products along with the rest of the building - a practice we now know of course was a dangerous practice and contaminated the site. 17.01.2022 Capital have also been involved in the removal of the Ashton Ave Bridge (right near the Claremont Show Grounds). Deconstruction work was carried out under a very tight schedule over a weekend, with crews working around the clock to ensure the rail could reopen for business on Monday morning. Many thanks to Titan Heavy Lift Cranes who provided us with great support. Coleman Rail, the principal contractor, now has the task of getting the new bridge in place.

15.01.2022 Capital were asked by a high end builder to take on a job that had already been started by a contractor who did not have the appropriate Demolition License. The house was a 3 storey residence in Mt Pleasant that was very close to one boundary. This required special expertise and a Class 1 Demolition License. The end story is that the customer and the neighbours were very happy with the result and we have been doing all the work for that high end builder ever since.

11.01.2022 CAPITAL was recently contracted to carry out demolition works at BP in Silversands. The client needed the canopy above the fuel pumps demolished, removed and disposed of, to make way for a new canopy and renovations to the petrol station. After carefully disconnecting the canopy from the main shop building, several strategic cuts were made to the support pillars under the canopy. Again - its not just "Crash & Bash" This very large site in Pilbara St Welshpool could have been just another recycling of rubble and steel but Capital were able to sell the expansive shed frames to a well known Western Australian retail business. Spud Shed could see the merit in re-using these extensive shed frames for 2 of their projects, not only providing an excellent recycling example for their business but also saving considerable dollars compared to a new built. Based on the fact that our HO workshop and annex are refurbished frames, we can stand testament to the exercise and confirm that you would be hard pressed to tell them from a new build.

07.01.2022 67 Cleaver St West Leederville required the demolition of several buildings of an aged care facility in readiness for their new complex. The site was complex due to the heritage listed house/office joined to the newer buildings that was to remain intact and the site being surrounded by very nervous and agitated neighbours who had recently suffered badly from a poorly executed demolition site nearby. The Council were rightfully on their side and wanted to ensure minimal disturbance from our works. A comprehensive demolition methodology by our Project Manager Chris Farrar, saw the works completed without incident
