23.01.2022 The phase 1b rollout is starting across the country this week. The following groups are included in this rollout and will be eligible to receive their Covid 19 vaccine from a registered GP practice: Elderly adults aged 80 years and over Elderly adults aged 70-79 years Other health care workers Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander adults over 55... To book, visit: capital-chemist-braidwood.pharmacybookings.com.au ... The over 65 vaccine will be available from GPs - ask to be put onto a waiting list to be the first to know when they arrive. For more information about the timing of influenza and covid vaccines, visit health.gov.au. The Australian Technical Advisory Group for Immunisation released a statement last week (12/3/21) advising those in a later phase of the covid rollout to receive their influenza vaccine as soon as they become available. This means you can then receive your covid vaccination as soon as it becomes available in a few months.

So you might see a script or repeat with wording that says ‘esomeprazole’ instead of Nexium, ‘atenolol’ instead of Tenormin, or ‘paracetamol’ instead of Panamax. Active ingredient is another word for generic ingredient. It’s the name of the actual medicine in your prescription. ... This change reduces the chance of errors and mis-communication between episodes of care, between doctors, pharmacists, nurses, hospitals and other health care providers. It’s important to note that the product you are supplied with won’t change; in most cases brand choice rests with you, the patient. Our pharmacists can vaccinate people aged 10-64 years without a prescription. If you have a child aged 5-9 years, we can supply if you have a prescription but it will be administered by your GP. If you're over 65 years, you will be eligible for a different vaccine free of charge from your GP. This year, the Australian Government recommends receiving your influenza vaccination as soon as it is available so that you can receive your COVID-19 vaccine when it becomes available.
