I am really sorry but I can’t take on any new full set appointments until after the 25th of July as am really struggling to fit in my regular clients between now and then To my incredible REGULAR CLIENTS! Don’t forget to ensure you are booked in for any infill appointments you may need before then! ... Please note, you can now reschedule any appointments as many times as you like up to 48 hours before your appointment by using the button in confirmation emails Deposits have gone up to $50 for infills and 50% for new clients (to hopefully slow them down). A couple infill appointments have slightly increased or decreased in price just to make the time to price ratio more equal (only a couple classic and hybrid appointments changed). Text reminders will be sent to every appointment after 1st of July as well as the standard email booking confirmation and reminder Most smart phones will also save your booking information and card info (should you wish) and put it into the new booking forms so you don’t have to type in your details or get out your card every time you want to make a booking too! I hope the new booking system is a lot more simple to use and you love the text reminders More exciting things to come as always, but for now, much love, Rachel

Due to the crazy number of messages/calls/emails/DMs I am getting about reopening & appointments I would like to kindly remind you all that I am only one person and the info is on my website (so you can get your answers quicker!) ... 21.01.2022 Signature Russian Volume This is the medium coverage Russian volume set Styled to suit the clients eye, face shape, desired look, and of course natural lash health! When booking online at Capital Lashes, you only need to choose your method of application (Russian Volume/fans OR Classic/1 Lashe per natural lash) and the amount of coverage you would like (natural, medium, or glam) It’s that simple! ... When you arrive at your first appointment we will do a small consultation, answer any questions, and work out how we will style your lashes to suit YOU That way, no matter what you set book, they will suit you! If you happen to want to change anything about them next time, such and length, curliness, over shape, or how messy vs neat they are, you can just let me know at the start of your infill appointment If you ever want to change your method of application for example, you are a classic lash client, but you love the idea of having quantity more lashes and want to try Russian volume fans, then you can book a slightly longer infill appointment than usual and book Russian volume infill instead of your usual classic infill Unfortunately lashes shed when our natural lashes shed and don’t last forever, however this does me you can always customise them each visit or just find what you like and stick to that

21.01.2022 So I know I am not meant to be posting much anymore but... 1. I just couldn’t resist! Look at this gorgeous glamorous classic lash set on @abbyjek Glamorous Classic sets have one lash extension applied to each and every single healthy and strong natural lash! Abby wanted long lashes (but not so long they touched her brows or overweighted her lashes), a dramatic curl (but not so dramatic they curled back into her brow bone), a shape to compliment her eye and brow shape, AND... TEXTURE by using different lash lengths throughout . I think this is my new favourite classic lash style! But I personally would need shorter to suit my eye shape 2a. I HAVE JUST EXTENDED MY HOURS! This means I am actually going to firstly be able to post all my pretty work I have been doing over the last 6months! 12.01.2022 It has been 111 days since the first Coronavirus case was recorded in Australia. As I am writing this I am filled with heart break for those that have lost loved ones, gotten sick, lost some or all of their income, and those struggling with isolation blues. However, I must say that this chapter of all our lives has also been one that should be celebrated for its silver linings. Never have I seen such a strong sense of community. The amount of care that everyone has gone to lo...ok after their neighbours, friends, small businesses and even strangers has been absolutely heart warming. The incredible amounts of creative projects started is inspiring. The new skills being learnt and developed is so motivating. And the family time has become more valuable that anything. Coronavirus, even with all its downfalls, has given us the opportunity to reflect and reset ourselves and refocus on our priorities. Many of us have also had more time available to work on these new priorities and do "all the things we have never had the time to do". I have mostly spent my time learning to cook better, doing plant propagating, Maria Kondo-ing my home, reading, watching way too much Netflix and of course doing so much for Capital Lashes. I am so excited to announce over the coming weeks and months all that I have been working on to improve myself and my business for all my INCREDIBLE clients! First up on the announcements is my new and insanely overdue branding! As many of you know this has been in the works for a long time and some of you even helped with choosing the colours and styles and I am so appreciative of this help! 10.01.2022 Perfect Lash Isolation This is the NEW Glamour CLASSIC Lash Set! Did you know Russian Volume shouldn’t instantly translate to CATERPILLAR LASHES! Russian can be ultra natural (even more natural than the Natural Classics!) and the Classic Lashes can in fact be this GLAM ... Classic and Russian Volume are just METHODS of Lash Application. Classic means one lash extension per individual natural lash. Volume is anywhere between 3 to 8 or 10 (depending on which country you ask! ) ultra thin lashes made into a fan that are then applied to one individual lash. 09.01.2022 Shocking news but I completed 5 new lash courses while in lockdown I know I know, I can just picture all my clients eyes rolling because I have done so many already but 4 of these courses were super fun, and the 5th, oh wowzers it was hard! I never ever get nervous about lash assessments and absolutely love going to courses and meeting more lash friends and learning all the better ways to do lashes and run a salon etc but the pressure was on for this 5th one! It was 2 day...s in person (before lockdown obviously!) and then submitting more work online. Turns out my results email bounced and today I realised it was missing, contacted them, and got sent this back! Happy Days! So proud of this little win that means the world to me! I haven’t got the results back from the trainers for the other courses but when I do I will post em! @ Canberra, Australian Capital Territory

In this set one lash is applied to every single individual natural lash (except for the ones that cannot EASILY support a lash extension yet - these will be lashed at her next infill appointment once they have grown enough!) I chose a shape and length to suit her eye socket area, her desired look and of course her natural lash strength and lastly we chose a dramatic curl for that extra glam and viola!

At the start of each new client appointment I do a full consultation teaching my clients all about lash extensions and how we will soon tailor them to their desired look! Tailoring lash extensions so they look great when a client opens their eyes is such an art form and so much fun! Lashes should NEVER go past a clients eyebrows, droop their lashes or curl back into their brow bone They should be completely tailored to suit that individual clie...nts desired look, their lifestyle or occasion, their natural lash health, their eye shape, and their face shape! This is why my work looks so different on different people! Each set is designed to suit that client. Clients also always have the opportunity to tweak their lash styling during infills making them longer, shorter, fuller, more curled, less curled, thicker, thinner, neat, textured, longer just on the outer corners, or longer through out the centre of the eye Lashes are NOT a one size (or style) fits all service!

03.01.2022 How surreal it is for me to know I will be back doing lashes in the salon tomorrow! It has be a very slow, eye opening, and crazy past 3 months but I am so proud of all of us for being smart and stopping the spread for now to the point where we can reopen our little businesses and/or go back to work! The battle isnt over yet, we still have cases in the rest of Australia, and all over the world, so please all continue to be safe and smart so we can stay open and safe I ...have just uploaded my reopening information and COVID-19 safe plan to the Capital Lashes website. At Capital Lashes there will now be 30 minute gaps between appointments to ensure that it is only ever myself and my client in my 67sqm salon and that I have time to disinfect EVERYTHING and fully prepare for my next client. I have bulk bought months of isopropyl, hand soap, sanitisers, hospital grade disinfectants, and various other supplies. Unfortunately no blankets will be provided, although you are more than welcome to bring your own. The salon beds will now be covered in an individual use bed cover for sanitary purposes. I will be wearing a mask and you are welcome to wear one too. You will be required to wash hands and sanitise as soon as you enter the salon. I also got to make another lash bridge used to temporarily hide a gap in her natural lash line! (She has had the gap for years!) ... So so so much fun and I can’t wait for the next training course!
