12.01.2022 As we move into Boxing Day, we will be continuing to comply with State Health Authority requirements, meaning we will now no longer need customers to occupy 2 square meters, but capacity limitations are still in effect on all sessions. We realise that customers may not be comfortable with sitting immediately next to others, therefore we will allocate best fit and have 1 seat empty on each side of the group. Additionally masks are not compulsory but are recommended for those ...that are waiting in line and all those that are sitting within 1.5m of another party. Unfortunately, Victorian cinemas are curren...tly excluded from the Victorian Government’s reopening roadmap. In every state in Australia, including Victoria in June, cinemas have been recognised as a comparatively safe environment alongside hospitality, retail and gyms. Globally, there have been no confirmed cases traced back to cinema-going. Our cinemas are prepared and ready to open safely. The focus is to welcome back passionate movie lovers and 2,000 dedicated staff back into the workforce. And, we’re ready to finally see Tenet on the big screen. Cinemas are an important part of our community, and sharing stories is integral to how we connect with one another. After months of lockdown, the opportunity to reconnect is an experience that many Victorians sorely need.
