With many local shows cancelled across Queensland due to COVID-19, we passed... legislation allowing councils to move their 2020 show holiday to Friday, August 14. We did this to give more Queenslanders a long weekend and deliver a boost for the tourism industry through our #GoodToGo campaign. Bookings have already been very strong, with Queenslanders jumping on the opportunity to have a break, explore the state, and support local jobs and the economy. It’s not too late to book, but the clear message from the industry is to do it quickly.
