25.01.2022 Hi everyone, Capricorn held its annual planning meeting and AGM at the weekend and it looks like we have a busy year ahead of us (Covid-willing): 2021 committee: The newly elected regional committee is:... President - Debbie Hall (Emerald) Vice President - Katrina Whitham (Cap Coast) Secretary - Anne Self (Emerald) Treasurer Shari Hancox (Biloela) General Member - Jen Williams (Rockhampton) General Member - Samantha Dippel (Gladstone) Name change: We are updating our legal name from Qld Netball Association Capricorn Branch Inc to Capricorn Netball Inc - which is what we are known by anyway. New logo: With our new name, we have decided it is also time for a new logo. We will be keeping elements of our current logo but giving it a new look. Watch for details about the up-coming competition to design the new one. New player development framework: We have reviewed our existing player development pathways and will be implementing a new framework in 2021. The framework will include three squads and a program for younger players and association coaches; plus will offer opportunities for coach and umpire development. The new squads for 2021 will be: Capricorn Gold players aged 16 to 18 years (born 2003 to 2005) Capricorn Fire players aged 14 and 15 years (born 2007 and 2006) Capricorn Stars players aged 12 and 13 years (born 2009 and 2008) Our squads will be open to both males and females. More info regarding squad selections shortly. So, we are looking forward to 2021.
