It has been 3 years in the making but they have finally landed and we are over the moon. Valais Blacknose, known as the 'worlds cutest sheep' have been sought after all around the world, with Australia no exception. 21.01.2022 Some ultrasounds today revealed that we have a few of our very best does with positive pregnancies to KBARC KCLVC Dash of Tabasco (imp USA). Roden Spirit Mesquite (87) Roden Cache Cheyenne (85) Roden Zero's Montana (84) recent picture Roden Tacoma Vallen (maiden) pictured as a goatling... these will be Tabasco's first progeny in Australia, so we are really looking forward to September babies! 16.01.2022 Our favourite Saanen doe on the farm is Tarleena Lady Laurelle. Sire Companeros Clinton Sonoma (IMP) x Dam Buttara Lorelee. She recently was awarded second place in an Australia wide photo show where the judge unfortunately did not fully appreciate her scruffy appearance! Unfortunately it was too cold at the start of winter to clip her specifically for the show, but we just love everything about her. Classified 84 and measuring 6L on her first lactation, we have retained a son for use in next years AI programs. She is still milking and currently in kid to Dandalee Park Tyrion for kids due in October and we also look forward to some exciting news for a new boyfriend for her in 2021. Thankyou to Tom and Lyndell Barnes for breeding such a lovely doe.

11.01.2022 Roden Cache Lando is a 12 month old buck who outdid himself yesterday at Bendigo show. He won champion buck at this, his first show as a yearling. This is after a list of class wins as a baby kid last year. Interestingly he and the best exhibit doe share 75% of their genetics and in the same combination - out of does by Rowe’s Falcon Spirit and by California Franchise Cache. He is a square and upstanding buck and he has some quality udders and plenty of milk behind him. He also has a great temperament. Can’t wait to see his first kids due on the ground in a month! He will be available in the collection centre for fresh and frozen straws

08.01.2022 This semen is from one of our young bucks - Blue Brook Atticus. It is at 2 hours post thaw and as you can see the motility is excellent. This result is achieved using Caprotek technology not commercial extenders. What you see here is semen that has been frozen, then thawed in a test tube and held at 37 degrees celcius for 2 hours, diluted at 1:2 ratio with 0.9% saline. It will still be motile after 8 hours at 37 degrees.

06.01.2022 The video quality of the last recording wasn't that great, so here is another one of our bucks - again 2 hours post thaw held at 37 degrees. This is our most popular Nubian, a dagger Buck - Jazzy Riddler. Check out our website for more information on him and our other bucks.

Frozen semen is available for those looking to begin a breeding up program. There are a number of keen breeders who have already taken up the challenge with semen purchased and even the first inseminations going ahead in Victoria today!
