25.01.2022 Good morning all! A reminder that the Captain Cook Community Centre will hold its AGM next Wednesday 20 November at 7:30pm, in the 4Cs building on Arnhem Road.

22.01.2022 User groups of the 4Cs (Gove Toy Library, Playgroup, Gove Arts Theatre, East Arnhem Regional Arts, Forward in Faith) are reminded that the AGM has been scheduled for: - Tuesday 17th November, 7.30pm - Endeavour Room, 4Cs - the November monthly meeting will be held immediately after All positions will be declared vacant. Each user group is required to have delegates at the AGM. A copy of the audited financials is available from your user group representative.... 12.01.2022 The Captain Cook Community Centre (4Cs) Committee gratefully acknowledges the generosity of Bec and Dion Muirhead from BAND Refrigeration and Dave Suter from Arnhemland Pest Control, for their generous support of our not-for-profit organisation which is home to 6 user groups. We appreciate their community-mindedness in providing services to us, especially at a time when businesses might be doing it tough ... and when fund-raising for groups such as ours has been hard! Nhulunbuy Regional Sports Fishing Club, Gove Toy Library, Nhulunbuy Playgroup, Gove Arts Theatre, East Arnhem Regional Arts or Forward in Faith Ministries? This post is for you! These clubs/organisations all share a common building called the Captain Cook Community Centre (4Cs). The 4Cs is run by a volunteer committee comprising of representatives of each of these user groups. In order for the doors to stay open and these groups to ha...ve a home, we need to fill all positions on the 4Cs committee. Our AGM is TONIGHT, Wednesday 20 November at 7:30pm in the 4Cs building. All positions will be declared vacant. We are urgently seeking nominations for the following positions: - VICE PRESIDENT - SECRETARY - PUBLIC OFFICER Please help us keep 4Cs operational. 01.01.2022 The Captain Cook Community Centre (4Cs) acknowledges and thanks the NTG's Community Benefit Fund for awarding our not-for-proft and volunteer run organisation a major grant of $248,000. These funds will deliver a much-needed, major refurbishment of the building including significant roof and guttering works, installation of a new air-conditioning system in the Endeavour Room and refurbishment of the food and beverage area and ablutions. The 4Cs is the umbrella body for our ...diverse 6 user groups: Gove Arts Theatre, Gove Toy Library, Nhulunbuy Regional Sports Fishing Club, Forward in Faith, Nhulunbuy Playgroup and East Arnhem Regional Arts. The 4Cs is one of the oldest buildings in Nhulunbuy. Built by NABALCO in the early 70's, it was part of the Captain Cook Hostel which housed the construction crew building the new township of Nhulunbuy. The 4Cs Committee looks forward to supporting local businesses and local jobs in seeing this project completed. We are beyond thrilled!
