21.01.2022 COVID-19 (Coronavirus) UPDATE: To Our Customers: We wanted to share the things we are doing to keep our store clean, sanitised and up to date in regard to food safety and health authorities.... 1. We have increased our cleaning frequencies in store 2. We have introduced rotational sterilisation of all of our tables and chairs. 3. We will be keeping our home delivery services (Uber Eats and MenuLog) open for ordering from 10am - 8.30pm. 4. Asking an team members displaying flu like symptoms to refrain from coming to work. Over the coming weeks we will be monitoring closely, and ask if anyone is feeling unwell, please do take care of yourself and your loved ones. Love, The Captain Gummys Frankston team!

21.01.2022 To our Valued Customers, Captain Gummy's Frankston remains open for business however the following measures are being put in place effective immediately, in order to comply with government regulations and our staff's Health and Safety: 1. All tables and chairs have been removed, making this a take-away option only (no dining available).... 2. Strict Social distancing measures will be in place in store 3. Online ordering services are in effect (Uber Eats and MenuLog). 4. Phone Orders are available, and orders within store will also be available, however we do ask that you are mindful of social distancing measures for the health and safety of others. 20.01.2022 Well guys that's a wrap! We can honestly say we have crashed and having a hard earned drink after that one tonight! A super special thank you to our unbelievable staff, without you it would have been impossible.... To our customer base, thank you for your loyalty and thank you for your patience. As you know, we try to be completely transparent because we treat you all like an extention of our own family so we like to keep it real. We realise we are always learning and strive for continual improvement. Our learnings for tonight: 1. Tonight was the first Good Friday in 28 years we have had online delivery services (the current climate - COVID-19, isolation etc) and to be honest, on Good Friday it will probably be the last time we will allow it. It simply slowed us down for phone orders and shop orders. 2. Delivery drivers let us down, the services did not flow and the orders took up too much unnecessary space in the bain marie causing unnecessary delays as third parties are introduced. 3. As a result, we threw out approximately $1000 worth of food because of cancelled deliveries or orders not picked up. 4. Due to the sheer volume of timed phone orders, there were at least an hour wait on top of the time given. Moving forward we will be removing this, as it sets us up for failure and gives an unrealistic expectation for the customer. 5. Next year, we will try SMS when ready for pick up, so you can stay in the comfort of your own home while waiting. We run our shop like a well oiled machine and it can feel completely defeating when it doesn't, especially on such a busy and important day for all of us. We sincerely apologise for the delays, and any errors that may have occurred, we truly tried our best in the circumstances. We wish you a Happy Easter from our family to yours. 20.01.2022 Happy Easter Everyone - hope you are all keeping safe! It's that time of year again, and it's important we keep you all informed in preparation for Good Friday. This year is a little different for obvious reasons, so we want to let you know how we are going to manage our busiest day of the year: 1. Gluten Free orders will only be available until 4pm... 2. Social Distancing practices will apply. We are placing barriers for one way traffic in and out, and ask that all people are waiting for food in their cars or outside. Maximum of 7 people in the shop at any time. We will have a security guard to monitor this, and to also call out orders out the front for those waiting. 3. We will be maintaining all online delivery services, however Gluten Free will not be available. 4. Please be patient, as we are expecting delays for in person, phone and online orders, although we will do our very best to meet all orders on time. 5. As an added precaution to the safety and wellbeing of our staff and for you all following our busiest days of the year, we are giving all staff and management an opportunity to self-isolate at home and close the shop from Sunday 12th April to 20th April inclusive.
