23.01.2022 Recap from the weekend: Div 2 went down fighting, 4-2 to Ravens Black. Div 1: Top of the table clash versus our old foe, Putney Rangers. We were determined to pick up our game after a few weeks of not playing at our best, and were bolstered by an undermanned Rangers team. Some great passages of play down the wing by Loz, Ash T and Wizz saw a lovely ball over the top by Loz followed in by Al, who expertly placed it in for a 1-0 lead. A solid defensive effort from our backs sa...w the ball worked up from back to front for Wizz to smash in from near the sideline for 2-0. From there, it was all systems go. Some neat passing from Kylie and Heidi saw a 1-2 from Nikki to Lizzie put a ball forward through for a Fatty stepover, chased down by Wizz to get her second of the day. Post half-time, the goals kept flowing - Al got her second after rounding her defender to smash it in; a through ball from Naj to Fatty caught Putney napping for Fats to slot in the corner neatly; and Loz stepped up to convert a penalty after being taken down in the box following a solid work up from Kath D. Not to be left out, Ellen chased down a clearance ball to deflect a kick out back into the Putney goal (expertly placed, you could say). Final score, 7-0, and a solid team effort around the ground to see us clear at the top of the table. 3 points to Al, 2 points to Lizzie, 1 to Wizz.
23.01.2022 And we did it! Through to the final of State Cup with a gritty 1-0 win ground out against Coogee. We were under the pump early on but worked hard to hang in there till half time. Second game was a different ball game and a run-away by our Shell saw her slot home the first goal. We worked overtime to keep Coogee out with a special mention to Bolts for a solid performance. We’ll see you in three weeks time at Valentine Park for a ‘mouth-watering’ match up vs Albion Park
23.01.2022 Welcome back to 2019! Trials dates for Div 1/2 as follows: Sunday 3rd Feb, PM (time and venue TBC) Sunday 10th Feb, PM (time and venue TBC)... Details to be updated when they come to hand. Feel free to PM any queries :)
21.01.2022 Recap from weekend - Div 2 got up 1-0 for their first win of the season. A well deserved victory (did the ball hit the post 5 times?!). Div 1 - a solid 4-0 win against North Epping Rangers. NER put us under a lot of pressure to start with but against the tide Wizz stole the ball in midfield and smashed the ball in from outside the box. 1-0. Our back line consistently helped us regain composure and slowly we put more pressure on the NER back line. A corner in by Fatty had Kath... D up challenging for the ball and a push in the box saw us with a penalty chance. Kath D cooly converted to give us a handy 2-0 lead. Solid defending saw us push the ball up the wings and a run through by Ash saw her draw the defenders before her shot was deflected back to Fatty who calmly slotted in the corner for 3-0. Post half-time and the game ebbed and flowed in dominance but we had the upper hand. Our defenders were working hard to make sure no goals were conceded and Bolts made a few top saves to keep the ball out. We were moving the ball around nicely and a passage of play from the backs to our strikers saw Naj put Wizz out to the left, who crossed it back across the mouth for Kath D to hit in. Final score 4-0, a solid start to the season. 3 points Whiz 2 points Kath Ramsey 1 point Kylie
20.01.2022 Game day today. Head to West Epping Oval for an action packed afternoon. Div 2: Epping Blue vs Epping White, 1pm. Div 1: Epping vs North Epping, 3pm.... Good luck ladies!
20.01.2022 Recap from the weekend: Div 1 vs Putney Rangers: First test out of the new ground and it was a warm one. We were scrappy to begin with and Rangers didn't help this with their preference of keeping the ball in the air. We started to find our groove with some good runs by Ash, Liz and Ellen on the wings who began to find feet up front. 30 minutes in, some sharp passing through our midfield and strikers fed the ball back to Nikki, who lobbed it in off the underside of the post. ...1-0. We pressed on and with a through ball from Whiz, Fatty was unlucky not to score, with the ball deflecting off the post back into play. Post halftime we kept the pressure on and this paid off, with a cross by Fatty finished off by Kath D with a header in the box. 2-0. Our defence held strong and our wingers were carving it up, including a run through four players by Ellen and a well deserved goal for her following pressure by our strikers. 3-0 final score, not a bad start to the season. Special mention to Kath D and Ash 'Crum' for their first game back post knee rehab - great to have the girls back in force. 3 points to Kylie, 2 points to Nikki, 1 point to Kath D/Ellen. Div 2 went down 2-0 to Ravens Black. Next week - Div 1 vs Ryde Panthers at ELS, Div 2 have the bye.
20.01.2022 It wasn’t our day yesterday, a gallant 2-0 loss to a good Albion Park team. Two goals off corners either side of the half time break was too much to recover from, although we played better constructive football throughout the game. A big thanks to all our supporters who came to cheer us on. A great achievement to make the final, well done girls! With the premiership sealed, now to focus on NWSWF semifinals, starting next Sunday details to come.
20.01.2022 Season all done after a narrow 1-0 loss to Manly. It’s been a top season for the Div 1 girls - premiership, championship, State Cup final, and Champs quarters Have a great break and see you next year!

17.01.2022 Recap from the weekend: Div 2: A solid 2-2 draw after coming back from a 2-0 deficit. Moving up the table, currently in 4th place. Div 1: A wet and dreary day saw a real arm wrestle in the first half against the young Winston Hills team. A run by Wizz and cut-back across the goal mouth saw Kath D expertly slot it into the corner for a 1-0 advantage. We were unlucky to concede a goal not long after this with a long shot from WH slipping through Bolt's gloves. Second half we th...rew everything at WH to try and grab a second - this included Kath D with a full diving header - but somehow the keeper (or Fatty's back) managed to get in the way. We dominated the second half, but the ball just wouldn't go in. 1-1 final score. Still sitting on top after 6 rounds, 3 points in the clear. 3 points to Kath D and Kath R, 2 points to Bash, 1 point to Ellen This weekend both teams have byes - enjoy the break!
17.01.2022 This Sunday head down to Morrison Bay 2 for all the soccer action. Div 2 vs Beecroft, 1pm Div 1 vs North Epping Rangers, 3pm... See you there!
17.01.2022 Recap from the weekend: Div 2: A dominant 4-1 win over Ravens White. Special mention to Sophie for capping her birthday off with a goal! Div 1: Our first match versus WPHCFC, the new kids on the block. Our normal fluent play was somewhat disjointed (maybe we are used to astro now?) and WPHCFC pressed us and pushed us around the park. We struggled to find our composure in the final third, although a few good runs forward by Al, Kath and Wizz kept the keeper on her toes.Halfwa...y through the first half, a great run by Ash T fed the ball through to Bash, with a sharp pass to Fatty who turned one defender and hit a lovely strike just under the crossbar to make it 1-0. We continued to dominate throughout the rest of the half and after half time. The opposition keeper was kept busy, with some solid one-on-one saves to keep us out; Ellen was unlucky not to score with the post denying her. We kept the pressure up but couldn't find the back of the net. Against the run of play, a lapse in concentration at our back saw their striker pounce and slot into the corner out of Bolt's reach. All of a sudden it was 1-1 with 10 to go. It didn't take us long to strike back - a beautiful free kick by Bash and a run and shot by Fatty forced the keeper to make a save, which bounced back to Nikki for a smash in to make it 2-1. We held strong for the last five minutes, despite the physicality of the WPHCFC girls, to claim the three points. Not our prettiest game, but a solid team effort to keep it 5-0 after five weeks. 3 points to Fatty, 2 points to Wizz and Ellen, 1 point to Bash
17.01.2022 Game on Sunday! Come down and support us as we challenge for the State Cup title. 2.15pm vs Albion Park, Valentine Sports Park. Good luck Epping ladies!!

15.01.2022 so a bit delayed AA2 had a great win, with Rachel and Greenie scoring multiple goals between them and a sort of highlight being told your not allowed to score ten by the president of the association. AA1s had a tough battle against a young and aggressive West Pennant Hills. though we dominated posession and field position for the first half we were pressed really hard by the WPH girls as they tried to stop our passing game, especially from the back and tried to catch us on th...e counter. frustration was probably the word for the half as we went in at oranges nil all. WPH came out the same second half and managed to nab a penalty and they stepped up to take an unearned lead....but for BOLTZY who dove to her left and made the save... this kicked us in to gear and we went on to dominate with whizz getting the ball wide on the right and striking a pearler to put us 1 nil up. A free kick was then won on the edge of the box to the left and Nikki played a square ball to an unmarked Bash who struck another pearler from outside the box to score a second. A tough but well earned 2 nil win See more
15.01.2022 Game on next Sunday! We travel to the northern beaches for quarter finals of Champs of Champs. 12.15 kick off vs Manly Vale, Cromer 1. Let’s get to the ground and support our ladies

14.01.2022 The Div 1 girls have had a good week of wins. A 3-1 win vs 2nd placed Panthers, a 2-0 win against Forest Killarney to make the quarters of State Cup, a 3-0 win against West Pennant Hills, and a 2-0 win against old rivals Winston Hills (yep, that’s four games in 11 days!) Along the way we lost our fearless midfielder Kath D to a knee injury .. One of the best hearted teammates (and players) going round, we know she‘ll be back bigger and better than ever. Next weekend we have ...State Cup quarters, at the timely hour of 10.15am at Pennant Hills Park on Sunday 16. Come join us for breakfast. Div 2 went down 2-1 to competition leaders the Bats last Sunday, but will have WPHFC at 1pm at Morrison Bay this Sunday. See you Sunday!

13.01.2022 Recap from the weekend vs Ryde Panthers: Panthers had always been an Achilles heel for us - our loss to them in the last round of the season last year cost us the Premiership. However, with an (almost) full squad and our fave ground (ELS) in hand, we brought our A game. We dominated from the outset, with some nice passing round the park. Special mention to our defenders also who snapped up any loose balls and kept their speedy strikers at bay. 20 minutes in and despite a crow...ded lot of players in the Panthers box, Ellen found Fatty who swiftly turned and smashed it into the top of the net. 1-0. A ball through by Liz saw Wizz take on the defenders at once and a neat ball to her left provided Fatty with the ball to slip into the net for 2-0. We kept the pressure on and Bash’s header from a Panther’s goalkick went to Fatty’s feet who deftly smashed it into the top of the goal despite being on the edge of the box. Halftime saw us 3-0 up. Panthers came back after time with greater pressing and physicality but we weathered the storm as a unit. A dubious penalty was called against us but Bolts stepped up and made a superb save in the bottom right corner of her goals. We were working hard across the ground and a run forward by Loz saw her score a lovely placed goal from well outside the box. Bash was in a new striking role and took up the challenge to round the keeper and slot it in for her first goal of the season. Not to be left out, a lovely cross by Fatty saw Ellen slot a sixth for us into the left hand corner. Panthers managed to scrap back one goal from a lovely through ball which was finished neatly, but the result was never in doubt. A superb team effort, final score 6-1. 3 points to Fatty, 2 points to joint Kath D/Kath R, and 1 point to Wizz.
13.01.2022 Games this weekend - head down to Morrison Bay 4 on Sunday. Div 2 vs Ravens White, 1pm Div 1 vs WPHCFC, 3pm.... Good luck to both teams!
13.01.2022 Today's games: Div 2: 1pm versus Ravens Black, Morrison Bay 4 Div 1: 3pm versus Putney Rangers, Morrison Bay 2.... See you there!
12.01.2022 Results: Our Div 2 went down 2-0 to Mac Uni in an injury impacted game. We wish Lori a speedy recovery! Div 1 had the bye, Damo’s bbq skills were the winner on the arvo
11.01.2022 Game day tomorrow! First round of the season. West Epping Oval for both games. Div 2 vs WPHFC at 1pm Div 1 vs Mac Uni at 3pm
11.01.2022 Solid results over the weekend - a 2-2 draw for our Div 2 team, and a close 2-1 winner to our Div 1 girls. This Sunday is the first round of state cup for Div 1 - vs Sydney Uni at Valentine Sports Park 4, 2.15pm. Div 2 - take on Roslea, 3pm at Meadowbank 8.
11.01.2022 a 3-1 loss to the Ravens sees the AA2s still with a chance of a grandfinal spot with a win next week The AA1s faced a depleted Putney Rangers in semi 2 and dominated from the start. Putney had no answers around the park and relied on long balls to their pacey striker for any go forward, but lacking support these were all eaten up by our back line and turned into forward movement. though we dominated possession and field position again we were to nice to Putney around the 18 y...ard box, moving the ball around well, but not finishing with a strike at goal on many occasions..and when we did we had there keeper position herself well, with shots from Al, Fatty, Whiz all finding the keepers gloves. That was until a sublime run and pass from Ellen saw Whiz with a bit of room on the edge of the box, Whiz then stepped around a defender and smashed a "pearler" into the back of the net for a 1 nil lead. Bash then made a blistering run through the middle of the park, beating 3 defenders and threaded a pass to her right for Kath D to run onto and belt thre ball past the keeper into the net for a 2 nil half time lead. Bash Kath D and Nikki were dominating the middle of the park Shell Loz and Naj were freed up numerous times and pushed forward, Heidi and Kylie and (my bad) Ash T were rock solid at the centre of the back, Ash T (when i put her wide), Ellen,Liz, Stacey and Sara all took turns burning up the sidelines whilst Whiz, Al, Fatty and Sara were all carving up up front.... the only thing missing was more goals... but not for want of trying. Boltz though hardly tested did everthing put at her...and got an uninterrupted view of the game... The second half was much of the same as the first except we were shooting but the ball just seemed to not want to go in. Fatty and a superb shot hit the cross bar then the back of the keepers head and somehow ended up in her hands..Another was pushed onto the bar by the keeper. Ellen had a couple of shots sail just over or just wide. Stacey, who'd found herself at centre midfield for a spell then managed to step back on from wide on the right to smash a shot to the far post that though on target found the top of a defenders head who nodded it into the back of her own net for a 3 nil win...which means GRANDFINAL spot congrats guys
10.01.2022 Hey guys, An update on Champs. What a strange week it has been. Summary: The game versus Winston Hills didn’t start off great for us. We let two quick goals across the run of play in early in the first half. However, we stuck to our rhythm, fought back and Wizz finished off the first goal for us before halftime. 2-1.... Second half we were looking sharp and putting the pressure on for an equaliser. However, ten minutes in a ball smacked one of the Winston girls in the head. She was not in a good way. The ambulance was called, and off she went. We lost a little under half hour game time. However, the ref had not stopped time, and we were told we had 7 minutes to play. We weren’t able to get the goal back in that time. NWSWF put in an appeal to Football NSW regarding the lost time. However, we haven’t yet heard the outcome of this appeal, and in the meantime, Football NSW have released the draw for the next round. So it doesn’t look like we will be moving forward in Champs this year. Disappointing how it all ended up, to say the least. But still super proud of the team, the way we play and how we support each other. Onwards and upwards for next year
10.01.2022 Onwards we go! A hard fought 3-0 win against Seaforth to progress to round 3 of State Cup. Beautifully constructed play saw Brooke polish off a fine goal, before Kath D finished off the game with a goal from outside the box and a further glancing header. A solid team effort and deserved win. Div 2 not so lucky, with a 3-1 loss to WPH. This weekend we are at West Epping Oval - Div 1 take on North Epping at 3pm, while Div 2 take on Beecroft at 1pm. See you there!
08.01.2022 A big week of soccer for the Div 1 girls. First round of State Cup versus old foe Sydney Uni. The game kicked off at a cracking pace but we steadily gained the upper hand. We couldn’t convert the dominance for the majority of the game, helped by their ninja keeper who saved many certain goals. Finally, a corner by Stace expertly curled into the top corner, and we were 1-0 up. We pressed for the remainder of the game but couldn’t convert any more chances. Stand outs were Ellen..., Ash T, Kylie, Liz and Stace. Next round we come, May 19th vs Seaforth. We had our catch up game Friday 10th versus WPH. We braved the cold out in the Hills District - and braved the physical WPH team. Again, we dominated but struggled to convert. The pressure paid off finally when a corner from Fatty was deflected in, with good pressure from the midfield. We continued to pepper the goal for the remainder of the game but couldn’t add more to the tally. Final score 1-0. This weekend we are at West Epping Oval, Div 2 vs Flying Bats at 1pm, and Div 1 vs Winston Hills at 3pm.
08.01.2022 Second - and last - trials for our Div 1/2 Women this coming Sunday 10th Feb. 4-5pm at West Epping Oval (astro) - see you there!
08.01.2022 Champs update: We have a bye first round (Sunday 16th September). Our first match will be, by chance, old rivals Winston Hills on Sunday 23rd September, likely in the Hills District. Details to come next week
08.01.2022 So the weekend gone bought semi 1 for both grades... Div 2 pulled out a masterstroke and beat the undefeated premiers 1 nil....great result. Div 1 came up against the fourth placed WPH..a young energetic side.. we dominated field position and possession the entire first half, looking great when we switched out and used our width to get in behind them...but unfortunately the ball just wouldn't hit the back of the net...against the run of play and one of the few times WPH got m...idway into our defensive half saw an outstanding strike from their centre mid bullet into the goal for us to go behind 1 nil.. we continued to dominate but couldn't find an equalizer going into the halftime break frustrated and behind. Though frustrated we didnt panic as play resumed and an early corner saw Kath head the ball towards goal, for Bash to connect with to score or equaliser..not long after a cross from our left was well pushed away above her head by unfortunately for them their right back and not the keeper, gifting us a penalty which Kath finished to put us up 2-1. Kath then made a run down the right and after beating the first was chopped outside the box...play on advantage...beat the second and was chopped on the edge of the box...play on advantage, body checked in the box by the third PENALTY. She calmly finished to put us up 3-1. A through ball for Whizz sho time her run perfectly saw her smash home a fourth and seal the victory.. Great game.
07.01.2022 Game on this Sunday! We have indeed a mouth-watering State Cup semi in store, with our Div 1 girls facing Coogee. No wash out will get in the way of the battle this time round. We have a home game, come support us at the earlier time of 12.30, Christie Park (Macquarie Park). Div 2 play Ravens, 1pm at Morrison Bay.... Good luck ladies
07.01.2022 Initial match report from grandfinal day div 2 Awesome div 1 Brilliant... nuff said
07.01.2022 Congrats to Div 1, Premiers 2018 with two games in hand! A big thank you to Dave and Damo. Bring on the semis!
06.01.2022 This weeks report is a conglomerate..from Dave and Damien. A good win to div2 sees them jump their weekend opponents and move into the top 4. Well done.... Premiers 9 points in front and two games to go for the girls, after last year’s struggle at the same stage of the season to finish of the premiership race, it was nice to watch the girls dominate the side that took the title last season with some pretty football. We also managed to adjust to having key players out and played girls in different positions, and still managed to dominate the Winsto girls who are a great side again this season. It wasn’t easy and there were some physical patches of play, Stace put on the enforcer cap and made two critical defensive plays at key points in the game to ensure the Winsto side didn’t get back into the game. She wasn’t the only one as Heidi, Sara and Kylie put their bodies on the line and are probably a little worse for wear today. So it was no easy win but the goals scored were nice to watch, especially after the early stages of the match where Winsto had some fancy footwork/passing that challenged our defence at times. The deadlock was broken in the first half by Fatty getting her head to a corner and it rocketing to goal only to be saved..but she followed in to tap drive home the rebound. The second came from a great counter attack down our left with Stacey then threading a ball into Kath D who drew the keeper and squared the ball for Whiz to tap into an open goal. Third came from the left and Stacey again who cut in and played a ball in that Fatty was able to tap in...3 quality goals.
06.01.2022 Recap from last week - a solid 4-1 win vs Panthers. The first goal went to Ellen after she turned her defender and slotted in the top right of the goal; the second to Wizz after she came out the best of a scrap heap in the box and walked it in. We let Panthers back into the game in the second half but managed to pull away towards the end, with Wizz finishing off a cross by Fatty behind the defence, and Fats with a nicely placed free kick to loop over the keeper’s head. 3 points to Bash, 2 to Ellen, 1 to Wizz. This weekend is a washout - next game for Div 1 is a catch up game vs Bats on Friday 15th at West Epping Oval.
