25.01.2022 Exciting news for the Moreton Bay boating community MSQ have installed the first permanent digital speed signs at Manly Boat Harbour. This sign will let skippers know if they are moving faster than this waterway’s maximum speed of 6 knots. Stay safe Queensland! #MaritimeSafetyQld

18.01.2022 Go West Rally Fleet of international yachts Visit Bundaberg, Queensland and they are impressed! Almost all of the fleet of 42 yachts (31 Monohulls & 11 catamara...ns) from 15 countries that have joined the 2019 Down Under Rally - GO WEST Yacht Rally to Australia have arrived at the Bundaberg Port Marina. See the full list of participants at https://www.downunderrally.com/confirmed-entries-go-west-bu The team here at Bundaberg Port Marina have once again delivered the best possible arrival experience and demonstrated why Bundaberg Port Marina & the Port of Bundaberg is the most convenient and friendly of all the Australian ports of entry. Many of the rally participants have made a point of telling us how very impressed they have been with the arrival process and how easy and stress free the inward clearance procedure has been. They are also saying how friendly and efficient the officers from Customs and Biosecurity have been. The Down Under Rally Welcome Week kicks off this week fro the participants with the chance to attend their first ever Melbourne Cup Party at the Lighthouse Hotel-Motel on Tuesday. On Wednesday the official Welcome Week events begin with a Welcome Cocktail party and Welcome to Country performance at Baltimore's Port Marina Cafe, Burnett Heads on Wednesday evening. We would like to say a BIG THANK YOU to the local Burnett Heads, Queensland community and the Bundaberg Regional Council and our local rally partners Captain's Chandlery and QLD Surveys, Kenco Galvanizing Volunteer Marine Rescue Bundaberg for supporting and making us all so welcome. 15.01.2022 The last two days the crews have been busy with surf training at sport haven beach. Surf training is a huge part of what we do at Station Chetco River. It’s alw...ays a lot of fun to get out there and train and even cooler to see the community watching. Thank you all for the photos, videos, comments and shares! Thank you to Bruce Beck and Sam Wesly Appleton for allowing us to share the photos!

12.01.2022 The First Reef Health Update for 2020. The Great Barrier Reef remains a vibrant, beautiful ecosystem of immense value to Australians and the world and continues to attract millions of visitors each year. However, like other coral reefs globally, the Reef is under pressure from climate change and other threats. Help us to continue to keep an eye on the Great Barrier Reef this summer by reporting sightings or reef health incidents through the Eye on the Reef app.

04.01.2022 Furthermore to our post yesterday there is an app called Eye On The Reef. This app shows where you’re located in Marine Parks and what zoning rules apply there. How convenient is that?! The app can also be used to report sightings and learn about the Reef.
