13.01.2022 Hi everyone! Just wanted to share my new musical with you. It’s called Erratically Epic: The Musical and based on the children’s book of the same name by Adam Wallace with illustrations by James Hart. We’re all Aussies based here in Melbourne. The background is that we were all systems to go stage the show - I had auditioned 160 kids and cast 50, and we had started rehearsals - and then COVID hit. Even when we came out of lockdown #1, we went straight back into rehearsa...ls, but then Lockdown #2 took away any hope of a show. :( But not to be put off, I decided that - with the kids help - we’d record a cast recording. The kids would record their vocals at home (using whatever they could find), send them to me and I’d mix. By the end of September, we had recorded the whole album. But we wanted to go further. So, we decided that we would create a podcast of the show: essentially a radio-play version of it, with the cast being their characters. I’d again mix, add sound effects, and put in the songs. And so, here we are! 5 episodes (the whole first act) is now released on Spotify, Google podcasts, Apple podcasts, Anchor and more. But the word needs to get out about this show - and how much these kids - aged between 8 and 12 - have NOT GIVEN UP ON THEATRE. So please, check it out, leave a great review and spread the word!
