08.01.2022 Sharing something personal ... I was listening to Brene Brown and she made a comment: "There is nothing more vulnerable than creativity."... Oh. My. Goodness. This really spoke to me. And do you want to know why? I have done thousands of photo shoots, of all different things. There is 1 thing that is constant for every shoot, and remains to this day. I am nervous before every shoot. But more importantly ... I am terrified when I show my clients their images. I always hold my breath, waiting for their reassurance that they like them. I feel so vulnerable in that moment. If I'm really honest, I want my clients to LOVE what I have created for them, not just like them. Photography is very subjective. Everyone has their style that they like. I know I'm not the photographer for everyone, and I'm ok with that. But for the people that choose me, I want to give them something they treasure, something they adore, something that sparks that emotional response that they love it. I do what I do because I love it but more importantly, because I want what I do to be cherished by you, for now and years to come.
