23.01.2022 What an honour to be part of such a great local competition!

23.01.2022 Looking at rhythm, tilt and twist. Undulating forms and a variety of negative spaces. Glen Kleane talks about RHYTHM as "The over all movement of the drawing. IT IS NOT the line of action. The line of action is a huge understatement of what rhythm is. Rhythm is how each line curves into the next. And how each line contributes to the over all shape of the drawing. Glen Keane used a river as an analogy. He said imagine that you view a river from above, and you see the curves and the bends the water makes and how the landscape controls where the water flows. Everything works together to give the river it's overall rhythm. So in a drawing, every line flows and curves into each other creating a rhythm. it'll capture your eyes lead it around the drawing in a sort of dance."

22.01.2022 Such beautiful humans... am so grateful to have come across this post. I would have loved to have taken our class to draw these incredible forms!

12.01.2022 The LMS was involved in the making of this. I’m told we don’t much appear in it due to time constraints. It seems likely to be an intelligent and compassionate documentary, and well worth watching.

10.01.2022 I could have told you this!! Oh wait... I do! Love our sessions. Please PM me if you’re interested in drawing, painting or sculpture!

08.01.2022 Thanks Susie Ashkenazi for your awesome blog post about today's session. It was cold outside, but warm in the living room. Our small but motivated group of artists came to meet me at home with my two bubs under 2 to do what we do best; draw, sculpt and paint. What a chance to explore the forms of the figure, but especially the hand!

04.01.2022 Inspired always and forever... what a stunning mess!

04.01.2022 I usually post other artists' quotes... here is one of MINE

03.01.2022 Happy Monday art world... its breezy and beautiful down here at the studio. Terese is in position and our group is bubbly and ready to finish the pose. Our next pose starts next Monday with Phoebe. Book in now for the 3 sessions and get the applied discount $75 for 3 sessions.

01.01.2022 Congratulations to our wonderful Susie Ashkenazi for being so talented, creative and brave enough to launch a website of her works. Her sculptures are crafted with passion and enthusiasm for the art form. We are very proud of her and all her achievements to date. She welcomes commission work, so check out her work and celebrate Susie with us!
