21.01.2022 Hi, my partner and I were involved in TasBash for many years up to around 2000 and raised a lot of funds for special children in Tasmania. Peter was one of the ...Blues Brothers, then we restored an old 1950s Denis fire engine as our last vehicle in the Bash and now would love to try and locate it. Our theme was "Denis and the Menaces". It went to Vic, then NT, can anyone help us with this? Lyn & Fitz See more

03.01.2022 Last year, Variety Tasmania was able to assist Masons family in purchasing a Dual Rider bike through the Bikes 4 Kids Program, so that Mason could accompany th...em on bike rides, to get out and about in the community and to get some exercise. Masons family sent us through these photos this week - Mason loves his bike so much that he often requests rides multiple times a day. If you would like to help more Tassie children who have additional needs, are disadvantaged or sick to gain independence, freedom, and good health, please consider donating to Variety Tasmania today. Every dollar helps. #Bikes4Kids #Community #Exercise
02.01.2022 The appearance of a ladybird is meant to symbolise good luck, a time when worries start to dissipate and new happiness comes about. Wed like to spread a little... good luck and happiness by covering Tassie with Ladybirds. Have fun painting a rock and leave it on or next to your letter box for children to spot on their walks. Take a photo and let us see the ladybirds you spot as well! (Please leave the ladybirds in their spots for others to find and share this post so that other people can join in the fun) If your child, or a family you know, needs help during this time, please consider applying for a Variety Tasmania Grant https://www.variety.org.au/tas/grants/ #VarietyLadybirds #VarietyLadybugs
01.01.2022 Logan is a hilarious, cheeky 7 year old with Pitt Hopkins Syndrome who loves hydrotherapy, chocolates and popcorn. 5 years ago Variety granted his family a spec...ial needs stroller that helped to support his body by positioning him upright. His mum Danielle recently sent us an update on the 5th anniversary of Logan receiving his grant - "Now able to use a wheelchair, Logan is learning to stand, sit up by himself and get around by rolling and crawling. He loves water and recently went sailing with Sailors for Disabilities, which he loved." We loved receiving the photos of Logan - just look at that happy face! If you are a previous Variety grant recipient, wed love to hear your story too! email us on [email protected] If you would like to help more children like Logan, please visit www.variety.org.au/tas to donate today.
