22.01.2022 Hey everyone! What a test 2020 has turned out to be for us all! Here is hoping that the later half of the year is better than the first! You might be wondering why I have been so quiet during all this 'quarantine' time, and not pumping out looks and tutorials like a mad woman...... Well, things have been tougher than I expected. There has been a lot of things going on with my immediate family and household health-wise, and that has taken top spot on my priority list for the last couple of months. As much as I would have loved to use all this time to be creative, it just wasn't going to happen. Family will always come first for me Now, what will happen for my business with the QLD Government lifting restrictions? At present, I will NOT be reopening for 16 May. I am going in to hospital for a full Thyroidectomy on 29 May, and I don't yet know just how big the operation will be, or what recovery time I will be looking at, as there is still tests to be done before the surgery. So for the meantime, I will remain closed. But fear not! I WILL reopen in the future (hopefully some time in June/July, depending on how things go with all the health stuff) and I will definitely make an announcement when I am certain of a date. When I do reopen, I will be seeking maternity models for some special services I am looking to open up in the future so please stay tuned for that as well! I have missed painting all your gorgeous faces, and hope that one day soon, things will go back to normal I am excited for all my fellow MUA's and beauty therapists to get back to the jobs they love so much, and for us all to start feeling a sense of normality. 17.01.2022 Bit of a different post, but wanted to share my custom made engagement ring I got today So happy with how it turned out! Rose gold and platinum, with 5 diamonds. This whole ring was made using pieces handed down to me from my Mum and Nana, so it holds a lot of sentimental value to me. Huge thank you to Jewellery Repair Specialists in Bundaberg for doing such an amazing job! I absolutely adore it.... Also a big thank you to my fiancè Paul for everything. 14.01.2022 Well, tomorrow is my thyroid removal surgery! Hoping to wake up like a beautiful zombie, but don't think that will happen Been a 2 and a half year wait to have my multinodular goitre removed! Looking forward to being able to breathe and swallow properly, plus hoping it will help my makeup application, because trying to draw straight lines on lumps is difficult! 10.01.2022 Well I missed Throwback Thursday, so Flashback Friday it is! I did this Pastel Demon look a year ago! Where does the time go?! This is by far one of my fave looks to date A little update - business is still temporarily closed. 2 weeks today I had sugery and it is healing well. Can't wear makeup yet, so no SFX looks for a while longer Also, I don't have full movement of my head and neck yet. The internal sutures are still there and pull when I try to put my head up prop...erly or turn my head, or lift heavy objects. I have my follow up appointment at the hospital on Monday, so hope to get some more information on my limitations then. Thanks for sticking around! 02.01.2022 Well, feels like forever since I have posted to this account! Thought I would quickly show you my new hair colour by @denaemareehair (swipe to see her fabulous photos of it in the salon ). I'm in love with it! Anyway, I want to apologise for the lack of activity and news from me up to this point. There has been some major health stuff going on in the family again, and my time and energy has been poured in to those closest to me. I hope you understand family comes first for... me. Don't worry! Everything is ok for now, and I am slowly taking a few bookings here and there to ease back into some normality hopefully in a couple of months I can get back to helping you beautiful people for your events! I have missed you a lot , and I have missed makeup a lot.
