19.01.2022 The newly released State of Industry 2020 Report from Caravan Industry Association of Australia lays out the past performance of Australia’s caravan and camping industry and highlights the opportunity for the industry to drive recovery. In 2019, the total caravan and camping visitor nights exceeded 60 million and 14 million trips for the first time. It was also the year that according to Tourism Research Australia, caravan and camping became the most popular holiday type for ...Australians. Reflecting on the year prior helps to paint a picture as to the wide-reaching positive impact the industry has on Regional Australia and the Manufacturing Industry. The caravan and camping industry is incredibly well placed to drive tourism and economic recovery through encouraging job creation, creating strong value chains and supporting regional economies.

19.01.2022 Earlier this week, Caravan Industry Association of Australia formally requested the Federal Government to provide a stimulus package for the caravanning and camping industry which will support jobs, support local manufacturing businesses, and support regional Australia. 03.01.2022 A $170 million boost over school holidays for regional tourism, an indication of the important role campers can play in the country's recovery. Caravan Parks across Australia reached average occupancy levels as high as 72% in cabins and 64% in powered sites for the week commencing 28 September 2020 as confidence starts to return among Aussies looking to spend time with loved ones over the school holidays. While this significant injection has helped many businesses across the ...country start to see some relief, this is still a far cry from business as usual for many others, with communities still experiencing the extended impacts of border restrictions, the disrupted visitor movement for long term travellers such as Grey Nomads, and aftermath of natural disaster earlier in the year. The school holiday occupancy figures provide hope for what is to come for those regions still struggling. #caravan #camping #regionalaustralia
