25.01.2022 IT'S FRIDAY FUNNYS TIME!!! HAVE A GREAT WEEKEND EVERYONE!!! A woman whose husband often came home drunk decided to cure him of the habit. One Halloween night, she put on a devil suit and hid behind a tree to intercept him on the way home. When her husband came by, she jumped out and stood before him with her red horns, long tail, and pitchfork.... "Who are you?" he asked. "I'm the Devil," she responded. "Well, come on home with me," he said, "I married your sister."

24.01.2022 Last night Corey & I hosted the team end of year celebrations at our home. We had a delicious lamb on the spit , a live band, bouncy castle & everyone bought something yummy to share. The weather was perfect & it was a brillant night. We chose October because it meant we are still in fire season - nothing beats sitting around a campfire!! After some minor technical glitches the Grand Final was up on the big screen. It is a shame that the tv decided to 'disconnect' in ...the last 90 seconds of the game!! (WHOOPS). You can imagine there were some happy chaps! (Sorry guys!) I am pleased to announce that no one ended up in hospital!! Bryan was giving golf lessons and there was definitely some great shots out into the lake. Karoke was a laugh & there were a few surprises. Turns out Styli can rap! There were some brave 'whip-cracking' attempts - a few sore spots today no doubt!! Gareth brought along his acoustic guitar & finished off the night with some good tunes! Anyway... there's so much more to the evening but I think that's a great summary. Great night, great people and what a year!! Hope you enjoy the pics & that you had a wonderful weekend! -Aleisha P.S. 18.01.2022 I know I said it last night but this place is BEAUTIFUL!! Today we did the Wave Rock Circuit Track. It was meant to be a 3.6km trek but somehow we took a detour & it ended up being around 6kms - which was absolutely fabulous! The kids loved it & so did I!!! We had another look at Wave Rock & flew the kite off the top! Corey pushed Jimmy up the 90 degree rock in the pram and the view was .... Hippo's Yawn was brilliant - you can see why in the pics. We enjoyed climbing into the mouth & exploring. So many wildflowers on display too!! The kids got sick of posing for photos. I think I said 'say cheese' at least 100000000 times . It's hard not to photograph everything in every direction. There is just so much darn beauty! Lake Magic was a fluorescent green - Cruze tells me it was warm & I took his word for it!! (It was 3 degrees here last night... I wasn't going in that's for sure!). It is so bizarre seeing a salt lake when we are so far from the Coast! It is worth a look. Just another gem to explore in the area. We are all a little wind burned but our cups are totally full. It is truly a special place & we are enjoying the down time with each other! And the weather... another perfectly spectacular day... requiring a thick, warm coat at all times! Thanks for reading. Happy Saturday. -Aleisha

Jon and Dan are in a mental institution which has an annual contest that picks two of the best patients and gives them two questions. If they answer correctly, they are released.... Jon is called into the doctor's office first. The doctor says: "Jon, what would happen if I poked out one of your eyes?" Jon says: "I'd be half blind." "That's correct. What would happen if I poked out both your eyes?" "I'd be completely blind." The doctor tells him that he is free to go. On Jon's way out he tells Dan the questions and answers. The doctor asks Dan: "What would happen if I cut off one of your ears?" Dan says: "I'd be half blind." The doctor, slightly puzzled, continues, "What would happen if I cut off both your ears?" "I'd be completely blind." "Dan, how can you explain that you'd be blind?" asks the doctor. "Well," replies Dan, "my hat would fall over my eyes."

07.01.2022 What a cool spot!!! If you haven't been out here before then add it to the list!! We highly recommend it!! We are staying at the caravan park at the bottom of the rock & were thrilled to find our site backs on to the playground!!! I remember before having kids, Corey & I would secretly hope we were never put anywhere near the noisey playground. But of course now... the closer the BETTER! The kids even had a quick dip in the pool (it is cold here so they are crazy!). A bit... of drama this morning... I woke with asthma... probably from the dust... and I couldn't find my puffer. The nearest pharmacy is 100kms so thank goodness for the Silver Chain spot in Hyden!!! Lifesavers!!! We climbed all over the rock this afternoon, took a million surfing tourist photos & the kids enjoyed attempting the climb to the top! Tomorrow we'll do Hippo's Yawn, Lake Magic, the Cave, Wildlife Park (white kangaroos live there apparently) & head back out to the rock for some more photos. Corey loves it when I make him say cheese 100 times . If you have young kids or need a flat surface to walk, the tracks are great. We even took the pram & bikes could come in handy too! Surrounded by vast space & red dirt... there is something really Aussie & very comforting about Wave Rock. The weather is gorgeous, not too many flies & no sign of midgies. It's a pretty darn good holiday so far! It is meant to be 3 degrees tonight... not that we'll feel it with our heater going... spoilt rotten! Over & out! -Leish
