25.01.2022 About 10:45pm on Sunday 5th July 2020 Blue Mountains HWP stopped a Ford Ranger towing a Nissan Patrol on a car carrier trailer east on the Great Western HWY at ...Bullaburra. A check of the trailers weights showed it to weigh 940kg with a maximum loaded weight of 3200kg. The Patrol being towed weighs 2760 plus the weight of all its accessories including bull bar etc. The total weight of the trailer therefore was at least 3700kg, 500kg over its maximum, and at least 200kg over the Rangers max towing capacity. The driver was issued a penalty notice for exceed maximum weight, $464 and 3 demerits points and was directed to unload. See more

23.01.2022 CARAVAN ROLLOVER This is all thats left of a caravan that rolled on the North West Coastal Hwy at Ajana, near the Kalbarri turnoff, earlier this week. Northa...mpton Police acting OIC Brendan Davidson said its believed the weight wasnt correctly distributed in the van and this probably contributed to the accident. "The caravan just got a bit of a wobble behind the car and eventually the wobble took over and a bit of an over steering occurred and in the blink of an eye the caravans rolled, the cars rolled and they ended up on the incorrect side of the road narrowly avoiding a gully thats there," Acting sergeant Davidson said. Fortunately, the driver and passenger werent injured. He said theres been a big increase in the region recently in vehicles towing boats and caravans and he urged drivers to be aware of the risks before embarking on a trip. He said it can be a recipe for disaster if weight isnt correctly distributed in a van.

22.01.2022 Here is one for the boyz. Elaine could not find a caravan layout she liked for her family of 5 so she had the shell made and fitted it out herself and I mean herself! I had a look inside and I must admit if I ran a caravan manufacturing business or design I would hire her. Her workmanship is as good as Ive seen. I did stir her and said "not bad for a chick" but now Elaine you have to learn to back it, or do you leave that for hubby?

21.01.2022 EXPRESSIONS OF INTEREST At the age of 68 I think my time has come to retire. I am looking for someone to take over this business and take it to the next level with the growing Caravan industry. I do love doing what I do, helping people with their Caravans and Tow Vehicles but here is an opportunity for some one to do the same. 18.01.2022 About 9:30am on Thursday 7th May 2020 police stopped a Holden Rodeo towing a car trailer laden with another Holden Rodeo as it traveled east on the Great Wester...n HWY at Medlow Bath. A check of the trailer showed it weighs 840kg (tare) and has a maximum laden weight of 2000kg (ATM). The Rodeo loaded on the trailer weighs 1620kg (tare) plus accessories such as its bullbar add to its weight. Therefore the laden trailer weighed at least 2460kg, which is 460kg overweight. The driver was given a direction to unload and received an infringement for exceeding maximum laden weight $457 and 3 Demerit Points. See more

17.01.2022 Ive been listening to a few people talking that camping at the moment would be fantastic self isoloation. It made me think of Barry, Barry from Bondi. Barry de...cided to take the family camping over Easter. They didnt get away when expected and by Lithgow the kids were starving, they stopped for lunch at Maccas. As they continued on the young fella realised that he didnt pack his fishing rod. Being a great Dad, Barry stopped in at BCF Bathurst. Continuing on, Barry and the family got to the fantastic isolated camp site just past Wellington. The first night was far colder than expected so Barry decided to head into Dubbo Big W for some warmer clothes. The esky wasnt the best so Barry headed to Wellington for ice on day 3. After a fantastic time away Barry and the family are heading home. Unfortunately Barry wasnt feeling great so stopped off at the Blackheath chemist for some medication. Barry gets fantastic fuel economy so he didnt need fuel until Blaxland, also Maccas for the hungry ones. Barry and the family got home that afternoon after a great time away and Barry decided to go to the Dr, positive for the virus.It was at this time that Barry realised how many people he had come across during his isolated camping trip. I love getting away and camping as much as anyone and I dont want this to go on forever, Please dont be like Barry, stay the Fuck home so that Australia gets though this as quick as possible without the life loss that overseas is experiencing. Do the right thing now and we are closer to life being normal again.

05.01.2022 Camplify is a company set up for people to hire private caravans and campers off their owners. I know that the try to match the Caravan ATM to the towing capacity of the Tow Vehicle. I understand Camplify is a web page for bookings only but this morning I weighed a Caravan that was hired through this company and was 244kg over the ATM making this Caravan uninsured. Question:- Who is responsible if there is an accident? I have contacted Camplify with no names mentioned to ask this question, when I get an answer I will post it. In the meantime what are your thoughts?

Whilst Simon is experienced his Co-Driver is at the other end of the spectrum being a complete novice to the passenger seat.
