25.01.2022 Bathing and drinking areas are so important now coming into Summer. Sprinkles and Bruno have a new concrete bird bath tagt they can drink out of, but is also the perfect size to bath in also.

25.01.2022 Shower time today. These babies have been introduced to water from a young age and at 13 weeks old, THEY LOVE water. So does their big sister Sprinkles.... Water desensitisation is so important a d something breeders do not do. Here at Carawah Park, we pride ourselves on raising and preparing the best presented birds in the country.

It is important to start any training at such a young age, these babies get back play for about 30 seconds a few times a day at the moment and will increase as they get older. Back time is important for vet checks and any vet procedures.... If you have a comfortable bird, you have a less stressed bird...

21.01.2022 Here is the growth cycle of a Blue and Blue macaw baby. Bruno is being a very good model for me this morning, to show you this example. Bruno is an adult macaw, weighing in at over 1kg and is 12 mths old.... Biggie-Smalls is a 22 day old Baby weighing in at 650 grams. The growth of these birds is huge. Bruno is here on holidays for a few weeks. I will take weekly photos to show you how fast these babies do indeed grow.

03.01.2022 F1 First Generation Hybrid Macaw Babies Harlequin Macaw Species Hatching all year round.... Raised by parents for the first 21 days. Pulled for human hand raising at 21 days old Fed on Vetafarm Neocare. Weaned onto All Vetafarm pellets. Ie- Macaw Nuts, Nutri Blend, Paradise and Maintaince pellets. Fruit and Veggies and nuts. These babies come everywhere with me, so they are extremely bold and desensitized to every possible environment and stimulants. Working in a vet clinic myself, they are used to lots of different people handing them, nosies, people and animals They are also used to cats and dogs and noises and children. These chicks has had huge exposure and loads of mental stimulation. They are use to living at different places and are by no means " nursery, tub babies" Babies will be sold once fully weaned and all vet work completed. Babies are trained in having their nails trimmed and having a bath time and blow dried after. These babies are harnessed trained and will happy help you put their own harness on and even come with their own harness and airline approved carrier if required. Babies are free flight recall trained. They will be used to living in a cage inside the house during the night and than used to being in a huge aviary during the day. Vet work included in sale of the bird is as follows. DNA sexed. Microchiped on the nation wide data base. Health exam Crop swabs Vent Swabs Gram stain Facel float Crop worm Beak and feather tested Psittacosis tested These babies will go home on your arm and will most likely already be talking to. Babies also spend 2 weeks away at an Avian bird minders to ensure they are totally confident in living in lots of new places, in preparation for their new homes.
