10.01.2022 If you haven't heard about Zac Bush, than this is a perfect introduction. This Friday, watch Farmer's Footprints which features the trials, learnings and victories of the four generation Breitkreutz family from Stoney Creek Farm transitioning from conventional farming to regenerative agriculture in Redwood Falls, Minnesota. Using conventional methods they saw their soils degrade and their input costs rise every year. Transitioning to regenerative practices has helped their row cropping operation and significantly reduced the input cost for their cattle. This film tells the story of how they did it. 03.01.2022 Friday Film this week is DamNation courtesy of Patagonia . This film explores the evolution of our national attitude from pride in big dams as engineering wonders to the growing awareness that our own future is bound to the life and health of wild rivers. A stirring argument against dams can be made by the outdoors itself: the rivers, trees, wildlife and vibrant contours of an organically forged landscape. DamNation begins with such images of nature, often artfully framed, and returns to them as well as to some beautifully fine-grained archival photography. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kuvBRAfT2g0
