22.01.2022 Most #soilorganicmatter originates from plant tissue. Plant residues contain 60-90% moisture. The remaining dry matter consist of #carbon, oxygen, Hydrogen, and... small amounts of S ( Sulfur ) N ( Nitrogen ) P ( Phosphorous ) K ( Potassium ) Ca ( Calcium ) and Mg ( Magnesium ). Although present in small amounts these nutrients are very important from a soil fertility management point of view. See more

13.01.2022 This is really extraordinary. The mulberry tree (most kids had one in their backyard) and thought to be a pest can actually act as a fire retardant. A great read... "But Mr Hawkins said he continued to "sacrifice" a reasonable amount of water for the mulberry tree a decision that would prove critical for the survival of his property when the Badja Road bushfire swept through the area."

12.01.2022 "Indigenous Peoples have been protecting biodiversity on Earth for thousands of years. Yet their rights are increasingly being eroded and they face multiple threats. This photo-essay gives you a glimpse of the symbiotic relationship that indigenous communities have with the ecosystems that they call home, and the lengths they go to in order to conserve these places. The rights of Indigenous Peoples to their lands and territories must be guaranteed for the sake of humanity and Mother Earth."
