24.01.2022 The APR Turbo Inlet Pipe is an easy-to-install bolt-on upgrade that eliminates a restriction before the turbocharger. Unlike fabricated units on the market today, ours is cast from aluminum, allowing for an organically shaped inlet that transitions gradually over a large distance. Such a design promotes better flow rather than abruptly reducing at the turbocharger's inlet like other units. It's larger than stock throughout, removes a large internal restriction at the PCV inle...t, and outflows the factory unit allowing the turbocharger to operate more efficiently. We fully assemble each unit with a billet securing arm, billet PCV bung and new o-ring. The inlet and outlet are CNC-machined to control tolerances and ensure snug and secure connections. This upgrade is recommended at all stages utilizing an IHI IS12, IS20 or IS38 turbocharger! 21.01.2022 All too often OEM components must sacrifice various performance minded characteristics in an effort to appeal to a wide variety of customers. While an enthusiast typically wants better boost response and more power, all while hearing the turbocharger breathe, a non-enthusiast may give up these characteristics for a quieter ride. In the case of the factory IHI turbocharger, a turbo muffler, or Pulsations-schalldämpfer, is positioned at the compressor outlet and is designed to ...reduce engine bay acoustics. The APR Turbo Muffler Delete replaces the factory muffler with a straight, uninterrupted piece, CNC-machined from billet aluminum and anodized black. To ensure proper sealing, APR's engineers took a two-part approach. A Viton seal is included and forms a seal between the base of the muffler housing and the new piece. With the seal in place and the outer flange installed, the muffler delete tube screws into place, forming a full, uninterrupted path for airflow. 21.01.2022 Lee Priest’s immaculate 5.0L Mustang received the Carbon Autohaus treatment courtesy of APR Performance. A stunning full plate of carbon fibre was precisely mated to the front under-carriage the Mustang, with two stainless rods securing the new splitter to the bumper. After carefully removing the front bar, the under-tray was separated, and the splitter was marked up for careful alignment and drilling. After this, the front bumper was precisely re-assembled and inspected, ...and once our technician was satisfied that the installation was millimetre-perfect, it was time to mount the front rods. To ensure that both rods were accurately positioned and evenly placed, each thread was counted on the upper and lower sides of the rods. The carbon-fibre weaves were individually and painstakingly counted on both ends of the splitter to make certain that each rod was identically drilled. Any error in this measurement would have skewed the angle of a rod and ruined the symmetry of the design. Once the bumper was re-installed on the vehicle, it was time to marvel at the quality and classiness of APR Performance’s Carbon Splitter. 16.01.2022 Enzo’s APR Stage 2+ MK6R has undergone a dramatic transformation over the past week. Enzo came in for a timing belt replacement on his CDL 2.0TFSI motor alongside a Carbon Clean. Additionally the following work was performed: - Haldex Service - Runner Flap Delete ... - Injector Clean + Re-seal - Drive Belt Substantial carbon buildup was observed upon manifold removal. This would have resulted in poor engine performance, rough idling and a reduction in overall efficiency. To remove the buildup, the valves were soaked in a specialised acidic bath before being blasted with fine-grain walnut. The Runner Flap Delete kit was also installed whilst the manifold was removed from the vehicle. The manifold itself was also cleaned due to carbon buildup beginning to form within the intake tracts. Following installation, the vehicle received a FREE file update (through APR) to accomodate for the RFD kit. The end results speak for themselves! 15.01.2022 APR Ignition Coils are designed to be a direct plug-and-play upgrade to factory coils, and provide greater energy output, ensuring a stronger and more consistent spark. The commonplace replacement of factory ignition coils with those taken from higher output Audi RS models, such as the 2.5T, is popularly believed to provide greater energy output. However, testing proves that they are no more powerful than the factory coils that are found on 1.8T and 2.0T engines. APR Ignition Coils increase energy output by 10%.
