25.01.2022 347 finished for early falcon, 11.5 to 1 comp . AFR heads , 280 r solid roller .ADP carb , pro billet MSD Black . Ready for dyno,should be fun street engine

23.01.2022 Two Hr,s in a week . Chris came in complaining of lack of power. Found lots of issues , the smile on his face after the test drive was priceless. Really nice restoration

23.01.2022 Had a great day helping with customers cars at the Ford and Holden nationals held at Heathcote Park. Mark ran a new Pb in his 308 supercharged Hq 12.2 Rickys Vk Frankston engine powered , 308 commodore ran strong all day. Adams supercharged 186 had some issues due to old fuel. Still running low 11,s . Chriss immaculate ford Capri consistently ran mid 10,s ,made it to semis . Lukes pro charged Windsor falcon ran a new Pb and made made it into semi finals . But driver errors saw them not making it through .

22.01.2022 Have two 347 Windsors on the go, one is going to be a tough streeter into an early falcon. The other is for a 9 second drag car, both will be running ADP carburettors .

22.01.2022 Getting this 347 Windsor ready for drag challenge. Waiting on a new APD blow through carburettor. Wiring in a MSD boost retard system , tidying up fuel pump wiring. Looking forward to seeing the gains with APD carburettor .

20.01.2022 Had a fantastic morning, tuning Murrays new 950 prosytem e85 carb. Its a 383 sbc, built buy Carbtech, all machine work done buy Frankston engines. Was struggling to hang on at 90 odd mph. Love these wooden syndicate boats.

19.01.2022 Had Marks Hq back in with a new blower specific camshaft and a freshen. Car had a decent misfire through the rev range. We replaced all the usual ignition related parts and didnt improve at all. Injectors werent responding to adjustments and timing was fluctuating. Come to the conclusion the MSD was getting electro magnetic interference , corrupting the spark signal and ecu trigger wire signal. Checked all connections, found MSD power supply wire had been tied in with alternator power wire. Separated these two as it was getting feed back from diode in alternator. Started and bingo fixed. Finished off tune as best we could, fuel pump couldnt keep up over 5psi boost. So we will finish after new pump is fitted.

19.01.2022 Had nicks immaculate 355 /308 Hj Ute in for a tune. Ran it up with his 750 vac , and lambda readings were good under power . Swapped out with a 750 APD and had some great results. Can definitely feel the extra torque and power on the road now.

18.01.2022 Who luvs a lumpy Clevor, one of my favourites. 408 cubes , massive solid roller, CHI heads and inlet. Top loader 4 speed, 2 door falcon. The cam surge was awesome, loved driving it . Real old school muscle, thanks Pete.

17.01.2022 Had the pleasure of working on Camerons 1971 Datsun 1200. Cameron has done an awesome job repowering with a std sr20 turbo engine. Stock turbo fell over at 200 hp at the rear , time for some upgrades. Awesome fun car to cruise in, makes my 1969 corona with 50 hp at the rear a bit sad

16.01.2022 Couple of nice Falcons in for some work. Xy in for a tune . Came in with 276 hp managed to squeeze 305 out of this combo. Xp having its new 347 combo fitted, then off to get mini tubs and extractors and exhaust, also custom fuel tank for E85 consumption.

16.01.2022 Had fun tuning ATS transmissions tyre smashing burn out HB Torana. Powered by a 308 with HQ heads, this tough little combo was built by the boys at AED engines in Bendigo. Sorting out a new twin 750 quick fuel set up , on methanol. Struggled to get a reading due to traction issues, was regularly making low 500s . Full credit to Adam as this car is show quality ,built in 10 mths for Summernats . Now ready to smash those tyres at Spring Nats in November.

15.01.2022 Had to check over of this nice big block Pontiac GTO . Fitted with the tri power carburettor set up. Getting ready for a Easter car show.

14.01.2022 Initially on toms HR we tried to set up the Chinese knock off 97 strombergs. Extremely lean every where and virtually undrivable. Had to remove the 4 main jets , then it would actually accelerate and drive. It was still lean under full power. Purchased some edelbrock 97,s , amazing improvement straight away. Responded to all tuning changes. Blue reading was the best power we could get with knock offs .Car is beautiful to drive now, great torque and power . Picture with Toms hand crafted copper lines , which look awesome are the Edelbrocks.

14.01.2022 Had ball working on Lukes fairlaine ,getting the new blowthru combo sorted. Was a bumpy journey, from braking blower belts , small oil leaks and getting on top of the APD custom carb . When we started smoking the rear tyres on the rollers we knew were getting on top . A few steps closer to drag challenge.

11.01.2022 We have broom stick phone footage from Adam . Couple of days tuning with some great results, making 357 hp regularly with lower boost than trickshot.This is the nugget engine,surprised us both, would run 10s all day. Thanks to Andrew Coan for all his fabrication work, top job . Yes air cleaner stud is tight

11.01.2022 Pulling some boost out of the old girl to run super street,With a 10.00 cut off. Leaving same amount of fuel in to cool engine , as tow car not permitted. Now we have even more flames looking forward to racing again after tech inspection.

10.01.2022 Christmas came early at Carbtech, had Rohans 9 second blown 540 cube 55 Chev in. Sorting out a set of American Bigs supercharged 950 carbs. Car is a stunning example of how cool old school should be.

09.01.2022 Another 750 APD carby fitted to this syndicate boat. 11 mph gain with 2 inch spacer over 650 quick fuel. Its low speed operation was crisp and clean , owner very happy.

07.01.2022 Have a couple of nice mustangs in this week, having ignition and carburettor upgrades.

06.01.2022 Had the pleasure of tuning Toms beautiful HR.Running a set of old school Holley 94s. He showed me a photo of when he first purchased the car, its come a long way. Full credit to him hes done a fantastic job.

06.01.2022 Had marks HQ in before Holden nationals , 308 with yellow terra super charger. We had to rewrite whole tune, in a very short time. Mark on the micro tech manual,professor Ricky on controller and me screaming out orders. Sounds like chaos worked out really well.

04.01.2022 Had this 350 Chevy jaguar in for a tune, 4 speed auto. Fitted another carburettor, Msd dizzy . Adam at Ats reconditioned the auto. Beautiful to drive on the road , definitely the conversion I would to if I owned one.

03.01.2022 Adam from ATS wanted to buy a Rons flying toilet injection system,that I had for a 500 cube engine. He wanted to put it on his multiple Summernats burnout masters winning Holden six HR Ute called Numnutz.1435 cfm and one big 4 inch butterfly. I said are you crazy, and yes he is. So the mad professor and I sat down and come up with a plan. Ive learnt so much from designing my mechanically injected turbo set up on my FC . This is the end result, this is the first time we started it.We were both blown away buy how great it sounds. Looking forward to spending some hrs tuning this beast , getting it ready to smash some tyres at Summernats

03.01.2022 Reconditioned two Strombergs off a hot grey Motor built by AED engines Bendigo Machined up some adaptors to convert to Holley jets . Then had rezinced in gold. Cars coming in for dyno soon.

03.01.2022 Mustang and Valiant in for some dyno work. Mustang used to have a 4 speed AOD , now has C4 3 speed and highstall, much nicer to drive now. Valiant had new ignition fitted and dyno . Found an extra 100 hp, did have lots of issues holding the 360 back especially with Chinese distributor.

02.01.2022 Trying my new creation, measures rpm , 8 exhaust temperatures , twin 7 bar map sensors , 2 x o -250 psi transducers. Generates its own wi- fi for 500 metres, how longs a drag strip. Custom laptop program, written with lab view software, logs continuously. Has alerts and all other cool functions. Made by an extremely clever electrical engineer at my work. He even wrote the whole software program. I was having issues with uneven spark plug mixture readings on boosted engines, ...mainly with custom manifolds. Even with an extremely rich lamda reading. Now I can stagger jet carbs, try different boosters . As they all atomise fuel in different ways , down leg and annualar are two different beasts. Also stagger airbleeds, to try and get perfect exhaust temps on all 8 . Also great for mechanical injection, changing nozzle sizes. Also EFI , possibilities are endless .
