25.01.2022 Cardiff Air Keeps the Firemen, Women and Fire Trucks Cool. Recently the West Burleigh Heads Fire Station, on Queenslands Gold Coast, went through a full renovation and upgrade. In this upgrade they refurbished the existing Fire Truck Garages and installed two single speed Cardiff Air 900 systems. These system are designed to take all of the heat and fumes away from the Fire Engines when they come back from deployment. The Firemen can now safely have these engines running wh...ile all the garage doors are down and in any weather conditions. The Cardiffair systems remove all exhaust fumes and the heat load from the Fire Trucks and the internal garages. Even when the Fire Trucks aren’t running the Firemen turn the Cardiffair Systems on to keep the garage cool so that they can do maintenance on the trucks in comfort. These Cardiff Air Systems draw fresh cool air from the outside either via the open garage doors or through vents installed in the garage doors when they’re closed. The fresh cool air travels in and around the garage and Fire Trucks and is then discharged back to the atmosphere via specifically designed canopies on the roof. These canopies are manufactured in the same roof profile and colour as the roof. In this case the roof colour was Colorbond Surf Mist. The Cardiff Air 900 Systems and Canopies are manufactured by Cardiff Air right here in South East Queensland. The roof mounted canopies are designed to withstand all types of wet weather conditions. Cardiff Air is proud to be a part of these projects.
