There were so many people at Barry Island on Saturday and Sunday it was "impossible to park ones car said one couple who had plan to park up and to have a picnic inside there car. It comes at a time when seven more people in Wales have died after contracting the Corana Virus taking the total number of deaths to 12. On February 16th, Leigh Adams of Bassaleg and his family was displaced by Storm Dennis. Leigh home is next to the Ebbw river bank, his fences and patios have been washed away down the the River Ebbw due to not having no flood defences protection at the back of his home. We lost roughly 25 feet of land to the river, as well as part of our garden. The river bank has just gone, right down to the foundations. It took most of the patio, a substantial tree, most of the hedges The development company has failing to respond as promised after waiting over three week. No updates on the house leaves Leigh and his family with continued anxiety and uncertainty over there future. The Developer’s are in breach of their legal obligation to build and sell houses in a safe place and not to put their customers lives and welfare at risk’ The fact that this occurred during the Developers ‘defects liability period’ reinforces this claim. Will they have a solution, will they even have a house. Will they be in debt to a mortgage for a house uninsurable and unsellable. 10.01.2022 A former local skip hire company owner - Mr Andrew Green, of Greens Recycling of Mountain Ash, Wales has been #CaughtRedHanded instructing his skip driver to fly-tip a skip load of waste in a back lane which was adopted by Rhondda Cynon Taff Council and classified as a public highway, Businessman Andrew Green, aged 55, pleaded guilty to the charges at Merthyr Tydfil Magistrates Courts on August 7th and was prosecuted for Fly Tipping under Section 33(1)(a) Environmental Protection Act 1990.
